This is likely the closest you can get to authentic Peruvian cuisine in New Jersey. Be sure to try their seafood; you won't be disappointed!

Their grilled chicken is a solid 10 out of 10! The lunch special on the menu today was a 9.5 out of 10. I’ll provide an update after my third visit!

The Jalea, Pescado a lo Macho, and Peruvian Chicken were all delicious. This is one of the best Peruvian restaurants in the area. I highly recommend it!!! Voir le carte

They never follow directions! I requested a non-spicy ceviche for my children, but what I received was extremely spicy. They consistently disregard instructions!

Good food, but some of the management staff is not wearing masks during the pandemic while they are handling people's food. Probably wouldnt go back until covid is over.

The food is quite good, though it varies in quality from visit to visit. It's a solid choice for Peruvian cuisine in the Middlesex/Bound Brook/Dunellen area. However, they tend to underestimate the time it takes for orders to be ready, so it's a good idea to add an extra 15 to 20 minutes to their estimated wait time. I have given this place a few tries. The first time we loved it. Maybe cause it was new and they were trying their best. The next times not so great. The services definitely brings them down. They seem to be bothered by you, they are just not friendly or welcoming. The chicken is good, but I feel it is a bit salty at times (it it could be the green sauce). I feel like most of the food is a little salty. Then if you ask for extra green sauce they charge for it. You get 3 sauces for one chicken combo...which is not enough. I decided to order this for lunch today at work looking forward to a peruvian meal. Unfortunately when I went to pick it up it was a nightmare. To start by the service is horrible, when you get there they don't even acknowledge you, the food is not even ready, I only gave this one star so I can write this review because if I could put zero I would. First things first: This place is completely different from Chicken Palace (CP). It looks like CP was located at an address near Lena y Carbon and some people got confused. So most of the bad reviews are for CP and I guess it makes sense why they maybe went out of business. Welcome to Lena y Carbon!
