"What a lovely breakfast we had at the Cortland diner! Went with a friend and we went in on the Oreo waffle, pancakes, home fries and some bacon. All were delicious and can easily guarantee that whatever you order for breakfast you'll be satisfied. Prices to portion size were great! The staff was kind, service was quick and they long tolerated 2 friends catching up for hours. The diner itself is clean and cute with a relaxed energy despite being consistently full and just enough parking to accommodate its size. Easy recommendation for anyone looking for a solid and hearty breakfast. Enjoy!!"

The food at this restaurant was incredible! However, there was a disruptive child at a nearby table who was throwing toys, one of which hit me. The staff did a great job handling the situation and even gave me ice for the injury. I would like to return in the future, hopefully without the presence of the unruly child. Excellent! We called in a to-go order on our way thru town and it was ready in 15min. The person who took our order was patient and friendly. All the items were correct. Everything was cooked perfectly, prepared with fresh quality ingredients and sizable portions. A lot of diners seem pretty standard these days but Cortland diner is hands down one of the best we've ever had. We were impressed and will make it a point to stop in anytime we are passing through.

There is a line for a reason. The food is worth the wait. Great owners with a caring heart. The cook (and owner) makes his food perfect and takes price in every dish he makes. The restaurant's atmosphere is friendly and a home like experience. The soup there is to die for. Eggs are to perfection. Pancakes cooked to perfection. The coffee is great. If you have eaten there, you are missing one of the top places to eat in Cortland. All staff work hard to make sure your meal is just what you want.
