"I decided to try this place after hearing my friends rave about their $1.00 lamb skewers, and I'm thrilled to report that they lived up to all the praise. Each skewer is just $1.00, and if you order ten, you get an extra one for free—a fantastic bargain! The prices here are already impressively low, and the complimentary skewer is a lovely bonus. The restaurant is quite small, accommodating only 13 people, as noted by the fire department, but it is clean and well-organized. The service is friendly and exceptional. When you enter, you can see the staff in the corner preparing the skewers, which guarantees that the meat is incredibly fresh. I would definitely make the trip back purely for those skewers—they were cooked to perfection: slightly fatty, juicy, and seasoned beautifully with cumin. I absolutely loved them!"

This business is misleading, especially when it comes to treating Chinese customers.

Owner is very personable. Food is cheap. Skewers are awesome, stews are excellent. Pro-tip: Get 10 skewers, get 1 free.

Lack of integrity. YangXieZi is mixed by half non-eatable and cheap lamb bones that not supposed to be grouped into YangXieZi.

Great entrees and portions. Skewers were overpowered in cumin spice i think though. Saw several people with hot pots which I want to try next time. Voir le carte

The food was good, but the cleanliness of the restaurant could definitely be better. Overall, the meal was satisfactory and reasonably priced. I would rate the food a 3 out of 5.

I absolutely adored my experience! While I usually lean towards spicy dishes, I was craving the lamb noodle soup, and it exceeded my expectations—it was packed with flavor. The staff was amazing, which made the visit even more delightful. I will definitely come back if I'm ever in LA again!

Known as Cua Hui Lou, by those in the know, the sign on its exterior simply says: 'Szechuan. ' They only take cash, but for really delicious food, it 's a minor inconvenience imo. I 've been to a number of Szechuan/Sichuan places and although it 's not fancy in terms of ambience and plating of dishes, Cua Hua Lou is my favorite in terms of taste. Voir le carte

This restaurant only accepts cash! They frequently change their prices, and what’s listed on the menu often doesn’t reflect what you’ll actually pay. The staff expects generous tips and even suggests specific amounts, which I found to be quite rude. They state that they don’t pay their waitstaff a base salary, meaning they depend heavily on tips, which I believe is not legal. I won’t be coming back! Dine-in: Yes.

The food at this restaurant is amazing! On our first visit, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was an incredibly friendly person and made sure we had a great experience. When we returned for our second visit, the restaurant was really busy! While the other servers weren't quite as welcoming, I suppose that's common in many Asian restaurants, haha. The dishes are fantastic—I've tried their skewers, lamb casserole hot pot, and hot and sour noodles, and I've enjoyed every single one!

"Got in little late decided to UberEATS some food from this new Vietnamese restaurant. Flavors pretty solid but not best execution I 've had. ITEM 'S ORDERED: Garlic Noodle w/ Shaken Beef Spicy Basil Chicken w/ Rice TASTE: Garlic Noodle w/ Shaken Beef was executed ok. The beef being filet mignon was not as tender as expected, but not so bad. Has a more tame savory black pepper flavor with just a hint of sweetness. The noodles seemed either a little too al dente or maybe somewhat stale or old. Garlic flavor was a little too weak but not a bad flavor overall. There 's green red bell peppers as well as cilantro. Spicy Basil Chicken w/ Rice was the winner in this meal. Very well seasoned flavorful. Savory, but not overly salty actually quite spicy as you continue to eat. Glad the rice was not overcooked pairs well with the very flavorful sauce. There 's green red bell peppers as well as cilantro in this one as well. Both entrees come with a little romaine lettuce side salad with tomatoes pickled radish carrots. Lightly sweet, vinegary mayo dress dressing which I liked. I did not like the ends of the romaine hearts being in there. They should always be discarded. Everything was overly oily/greasy to the point you can just feel it all in your lips as you keep eating. At least it 's all quite flavorful since it 's really bad when it 's all oily lacking in flavor. Everything was quite hot when it arrived. Did not have to reheat anything. I do live close to this restaurant though. SERVICE, LOCATION PARKING: UberEATS order so no direct comments on service. All the food was packed well I like that they gave garlic chili sauce which pairs well with these foods. They are located in that somewhat new strip mall right across Costco off of Commonwealth Date. You can enter on either of those streets. There 's a shared parking lot which is usually easy to find a spot in. But it 's still usually busy in there since the parking lot is not really big enough for all the businesses there. Food was not a complete fail flavors were mainly solid so I 'm not opposed to getting food here again. Plus I 'm just so close to it as well."
