meatloaf was tasteless and portion looked like it came from a hungry man dinner box. very disappointed

I stopped visiting this restaurant because it turned into a rather bland experience. I wasn't aware that everything was pre-cooked and simply reheated. That's quite disappointing.

Great food, excellent service, and reasonable prices. I had the biscuits and gravy, and the server even requested the cook to make a fresh batch of gravy, so I didn’t have to settle for the old stuff. Voir le carte

Waited 30 minutes no one even bothered to check with us or take our order. I had my 2 year old son with me no one helped. Very poor service. Filed a complaint all the servers did was just argue with each other putting each other at fault.

I ordered a salad, but it arrived without any dressing. On a previous visit, I tried the strawberry lemonade, which cost over $8, and I definitely didn't think it was worth it. The cup was very small, and for that price, I expected at least a 32-ounce drink or something larger.

This coffee shop is now called General's Cafe Grill since early 2020. [hidden link] Similar everything. Had breakfast, short stack and scrambled eggs. Let's grade it as a coffee shop. Seated promptly, wait staff attentive, the orders were correct and can out hot, wait time was about right, a thermos of coffee is left on the table. Used to love coming here but recently it was just bad overall, took a whole hour to receive our food another 30 min to receive our water the waiter never brought it so we had to ASK another waiter. At first we stopped caring about the wait due to it being a little busy assuming the food was going to be great since we waited so long ! But we were wrong the steamed vegetables tasted absolutely disgusting they tasted like they were not washed and boiled in tap water you could taste it ! The tri tip was dry and the baked potato was drenched in butter : my husband's salad was absolutely awful he said the lettuce tasted old and the tri tip tasted bland . : and to top it off the girl who cashed us...

We stopped by for dinner, which turned out to be our first meal of the day. The food was slightly above average—not impressive, but certainly not bad, either. However, the service was extremely disappointing. Once our meals arrived, we found ourselves without drinks; I had run out of water, and my wife had finished her iced tea. Our waitress seemed more interested in chatting on her phone at the bar than attending to us. After waiting about 10 minutes, my wife decided to take our empty glasses to the bar herself. Did our waitress bother to fill them and bring them back? Absolutely not. That would have required her to put down her phone and actually do her job. Instead, it was the bartender w...

This morning we were in the area on business. We had the choice of the standard breakfast places; IHOP Denny's but I'm not a fan of either one so I always look for the hole in the wall places or at least places I haven't heard of. We saw Generals Cafe had good reviews and hadn't heard of it in Texas so we thought we'd give it a try. The short version is that in a week of working on California, it was the best grub we've had by far. The inside is what you'd expect for an old school diner... The good smells, old folks eating, old decor, just right.I got the country skillet (a good 9/10 for taste and 10/10 for portions), my wife got the breakfast sandwich and rated it 10/10.
