Knowledgeable staff, positive vegan experience and incredible food.

There were plenty of vegan choices and they were all delicious! The service was fantastic and quick.

We went to the El Charro downtown but I didn’t see that location on HC. The atmosphere is always great there. The table side guacamole was good and the Nopalito enchiladas were Fan-freaking-tastic!!! Voir le carte

They allowed me to try one of each vegan corn, Camote Quinoa taco and a crispy avocado jalapeño taco. They served pinto beans and rice on the side. It was lovely. Would go again. The service was great.

The restaurant had many seats available. The seating in the non-reserved section was adequate, but the table was dirty so we requested to be moved to another table. I ordered the vegan tamale filled mushrooms, which were quite tasty. The service was excellent.

good salsa, chips are not fresh or warmed- which I somehow expect in a beautiful Mexican restaurant in tucson. guacamole has been table side, but under salt. they added a chimichanga to the vegan menu- new from the last time I went, which means that they add more vegan options in the run of time. it was gigantic and tasty. boring and tear sides were also really good. This place has great atmosphere... I wouldn't expect anything less from a restaurant that has been in business for 95 years! Yes, you will more than likely have to wait for a table, but the wait is made enjoyable at their next door bar where you can also help yourself to salsa and chips! The Vegan section of their menu has about 5 entree items. I enjoyed the enchiladas which came with a side of rice and beans. The staff here are very friendly and helpful.

I am quite puzzled by my experience dining at this restaurant. Contrary to the positive reviews, I found the food at Happy Kuh to be lacking in flavor, especially when compared to traditional Mexican cuisine. The combination of ingredients used did not seem to work well together, and I was not impressed overall. While I appreciate creativity, I believe that the ingredients should complement each other. Some of the menu choices just did not make sense to me, and I felt that they did not align with what one would expect from a Mexican restaurant. I would not recommend dining here. The only dish that stood out to me was the pinto beans and rice. This review was last updated on May 13, 2022.

I ate at El Charro two nights in a row while in Arizona. The first time my food was delivered from GrubHub. I had the vegan burrito with rice and beans. It was full of favor and the burrito had an abundance of vegetables. The rice and beans were fluffy and the guacamole was excellent. The next night I went to the restaurant with a large group about 1.5 hours from closing. The restaurant was booming and appeared to be kid friendly. We sat in a partial close off space in the back due to the large amount of people in our party. I ordered the vegetarian fajitas and a sangria. The fajitas were pipping hot and the flour tortillas were fresh. My only complaint is they only brought out two flour tor... Voir le carte
