"El Palomar is my favorite restaurant of all time. I grew up eating there and the staff has watched me grow up. I've had birthdays, my graduation dinner, and my acceptance letter into college all happened there. Carlos Sr is one of the kindest people I've ever met in my entire life. Their salsa is the best I've ever had and every single staff member is kind and welcoming. I will talk about this restaurant until the day they close or I die, whatever comes first. From my 10th birthday to my 21st, I have gone here. I ordered a California burrito and was very disappointed. Having lived in California where it was invented, I can say this burrito did not meet the standards. It lacked fries, the beans tasted canned and the guacamole appeared to be old. The burrito was large but poorly wrapped, causing the filling to spill out. I have visited this restaurant several times in the past few years and have always enjoyed it. The taquitos, enchiladas, tacos - everything is delicious. The food is always fresh and hot (trust me, I even burned my finger on the tray!) and the staff are all very friendly. It is a local establishment, so I highly recommend supporting this family-owned business. Every visit has been fantastic, with great service, tasty food, and a welcoming atmosphere. I especially recommend trying the enchiladas ranchera - they are really good. My experience last week was excellent.
