"We just had dinner here tonight (3/12/09) and it was fantastic. To start, the fried shrimp appetizer was excellent, accompanied by a tasty sauce. The vegetable fried rice was packed with fresh vegetables, none of which were frozen. The family-style bean cake (tofu) was served hot and was delicious, filled with fresh broccoli and snow peas. Everything came out quickly, and we had plenty of leftovers. The location is great too!"

My main issue is that we requested our dish to be spicy, but it was served extremely mild. It's either that the waitress or owner misunderstood our request, or the food just doesn’t have much flavor at all. The fried shrimp were overly greasy, and I definitely won't be ordering that again.

I've been visiting the Golden Orient for as long as I can remember, and it has the best Chinese food in the area. The service is exceptional and incredibly friendly. The women who run the place are simply lovely and always remember my order as well as my family's every time we come by. I absolutely love it!
