"The ĐẬU HỦ CHIÊN RAU RĂM Fried Tofu (fried fluffy tofu puffs) were delicious! … really unique. We also had the Spring Rolls, Lemongrass “Chicken”, and “Bistec”. All were great. The server/owner was friendly, too. Finally, let me just talk about the flan. It is really hard to find vegan flan at all, let alone good vegan flan. It’s very challenging to make. This place has one of the better vegan flans out there. I loved the light texture."

"Clean, bright, cheerful staff and tasty diner food. They have very tasty blended coffees and I heartily recommend the mexican mocha. I would have given this a 5 but they stated they were out when we asked for the fried mushrooms. We had been excited but were disappointed when they said they were out. The spinach omlette is also very tasty with its feta cheese."

"Our first visit to the restaurant last night came highly recommended, thanks to a friend's glowing review of their vegan menu. We were pretty excited and ordered two vegan meatball subs. The trouble began when we waited for nearly 25 minutes after placing our order. Our server, a guy named Ryan (I think), came over and told us they were all out of vegan meatballs. Naturally, we asked why it took so long for them to figure this out, which seemed to fluster poor Ryan a bit. However, he was polite throughout the conversation. We decided to switch our order to one regular meatball sub and a vegan eggplant sub, thinking all was well. But, surprise, surprise, Ryan returned a few minutes later to tell us they were also out of eggplant. At this point, we had been waiting for almost 40 minutes with no food in sight, so we asked for the check to pay for the soda my husband had been nursing. Here's why the whole experience left a sour taste in our mouths: 1. Why in the world didn't the waitstaff know about these shortages in advance? It seems like basic communication within the restaurant was seriously lacking. Customers shouldn't be left hanging, wondering if they'll actually get what they ordered. 2. It's kind of baffling that Ryan was left to break the bad news not just once, but twice. You'd think the manager, who we saw chatting with other diners just a few feet away, would have taken the initiative to come over and speak to us directly. 3. I was made to feel like I should be really grateful they decided not to charge us for the Diet Coke my husband drank. Overall it was a terrible experience and no effort was made to rectify what happened. I obviously cannot comment on the food since we never recieved any. As for customer service...HORRIBLE!"

"One of my favorite to eat in. 1st time ordered to go. COULDN'T TELL WHICH BURRITO WAS MACHACA OR CARNE ASADA. SO TASTELESS AND DRIED OUT. CHIPS OUTSTANDING. Very embarrassing to serve Family and neighbors. I doubt I'll ever go back! My dog didn't even try to beg for any of it. Should have been a clue it was horrible. My dog is not a picky eater!!"

"I never actually had the chance to eat at this restaurant, but my experience trying to locate it and purchase a gift certificate left much to be desired. A few years ago, I wanted to give my brother and his partner a gift certificate to Il Garage for Christmas. Despite hearing good and strange things about the place, I struggled to find it on Beach Boulevard. The confusing parking situation led me to Park Ave instead, which seemed to be somehow connected to Il Garage. After a series of misunderstandings and awkward interactions with the staff, I was finally able to purchase a gift certificate for $100. Unfortunately, both Park Ave and Il Garage are now closed, so my money may have gone to waste. Overall, the experience felt pretentious and outdated in all the wrong ways."
