"I’m giving Hi Bánh Mì 3 stars because the egg rolls were very good. However, my lemongrass bánh mì this time was disappointing. I’ve ordered the lemongrass bánh mì before, and it was delicious, but this time I opened my sandwich to find only three small pieces of meat. For $7.50, that’s quite underwhelming. Even the Hong Kong place next door offers a better sandwich. I was also frustrated that the menu online didn’t match what I could actually order by phone—there was no BBQ pork special (Đặc Biệt) or pork belly bánh mì available."

The former location, Hello Bánh Mì, offered a better sandwich for the price. Since the change some time ago, the quality has declined somewhat.

The Lemongrass Beef Banh Mi, oh my goodness did that take me on a trip. It was the perfect combinations of flavors and amounts. And so affordable!

Honestly, the cleanliness at Hi Bánh Mì was quite concerning. Although I ordered a banh mi from their menu, I felt uneasy about the food safety and didn’t feel comfortable eating it.

Fantastic restaurant! The cuisine is incredibly delicious, the staff is attentive, and the interiors are beautiful with stunning views from the window. Plus, there's a lovely open veranda that looks out over the lake. Voir le carte

this place has great value and the taste is amazing. my bf and I were planning to share one because we just had a large breakfast but we ended up ordering another foot long. I recommend the lemon grass beef. The bread they use is amazing and I highly recommend this spot.

We were greeted with a variety of breads in delicious boxes, on the other hand they served trays and tongs to let you choose your favorite. Indispensable are cold drinks, including my favorite milk tea. Everything was great, every dish was delicious andthe price was very reasonable. A place for us to visit often

Hi Banh Mi is a nice space for a quick casual bite and always a good option for takeout as well. It’s not too expensive for what you are getting good value for money. The staffs are really nice and friendly and they're good at what they do. You might need to wait a bit depending on what you get because they make everything fresh every day. Voir le carte

First time trying Banh Mi so I had to go to Hi Banh Mi and they did not disappoint. I fell in love with this place as soon as I walked in. The baguette was crunchy and toasty, and the chicken was cooked and flavored to perfection and matched perfectly with the fresh vegetables. Overall a great meal and an amazing first experience trying them. I would recommend you enjoy their sandwiches.

Food is good, but they don’t offer the options that they previously had and the quality isn’t the same. The bread was great, but the sandwiches are very slim and we had a ton of stems from the vegetables in our sandwiches and I had to end up picking them out. They’ve changed the menu to be more “Americanized” and not the traditional banh mi options you can get at most Vietnamese delis which is a bummer. I hope they bring back some of the options the previous owners had that were true Vietnamese Banh mi options.

"Decently maintained establishment with quick service, excellent hospitality, and large entrees which complimented the pricing.Opinion:Initially, I was skeptical about the establishment due to the higher prices for simple dishes. My sentiment didn't get much better after I left to wash my hands and noticed that a portion of the men's restroom was used as a storage or closet space. Also that the lighting appeared dim giving it an odd vibe.Returning to the table, we decided to over order since we were unsure of the portions and were afraid that food would be grossly overpriced, but to our shock, the food arrived extremely fast and the portions were well worth the pricing.Everything that we ordered tasted great, my only qualms were that (1) my poke bowl had too much lettuce and onions which I couldn't help but to think was to simply fill the bowl, (2) that the poke bowl probably should've come with a side of seaweed salad instead of lettuce salad since it already came with a healthy portion of it, and (3) that most menu items came with krab meat, or imitation crab, which is a bit of a turn off since it seems to lack authenticity. The breakdown of each category is as follows...Atmosphere:Excellent design and layout. The artwork, music, and aesthetics made for a very welcoming environment and complemented the style very nicely. Though, I do feel like the restrooms are due for an upgrade in lighting and style.Service:The staff was friendly, warm, and very aware of the needs of the customer. If we ever finished an item then they were there to clear the table of empty dishes without disrupting our meal.Food:Though the food may appear pricey, it's actually reasonable given the large quantity of meat that you are given in each roll. Don't be offset by the words 2 pieces in reference to the quantity of meat in each roll their two pieces are large, trust me on that one. To reiterate, we over ordered due to not understanding that the prices are high because they are double the portions that you would get anywhere else.I do feel like they tried to fluff up the poke bowl with lettuce, which was a bummer, but it did still have quite a bit of salmon in it, so I wasn't too upset. Also, I must note the food arrives extremely fast which is a huge bonus.Overall:It's a nice establishment, but the menu items aren't something that I will want to revisit often. I'll give it 4 stars since the food and service made up for the price, but I would like to see the few adjustments mentioned in my review before I ever think about a 5 star. But, with that said, I would still recommend Koharu to anyone who asks for a solid Japanese restaurant in the area."
