Wow!! My new favorite restaurant!! I had the fall salad with grilled chicken, delish!! My husband had the hangar steak, said it was the best he ever had!! The unique mixed drinks are a must too!

My wife and I had dinner this evening. The food was amazing, the staff was very friendly, and the owners were incredibly nice. Thank you for the delicious meal and wonderful service. We will definitely be returning.

I can't say enough good things about our experience at the hoot owl. We ordered a bunch of small plates and 2 entrées, and split the rice pudding, which was amazing. Each dish perfectly cooked, delicious, presented and served expeditiously, and priced just right. The host and servers were attentive, responsive, kind, and welcoming. Highly recommended!

we ate here for the first time last night. the food was excellent. I didn't get a photo of the kartoffel croquettes we ordered because we ate them too fast. we had the spicy blue crabs spaghetti, the chicken curry and the baby backs ripen. it was busy when we arrived, but we waited and it was good to wait. we met the owners who are very friendly. the bartender rosie was very good and friendly. this was definitiw some of the best local foods we had and it really is worth going there for a meal. they will not be disappointed with eating or service. very recommended and we will certainly be back.

This restaurant is a smallish place with an old tavern feel, serving a mix of American and Indian cuisine. Next time I'll have to try the curry, but this time I got the friend chicken over collard greens and mashed potatoes.The chicken was very well-made, with a nice crispy batter and juicy chicken. The collard greens were absolutely delicious and tasted almost like they were caramelized. Finally we got funnel cake topped with pears for dessert (since pears were in season at the time), and it was quite a creative dessert that was absolutely delicious.I definitely plan to go back here again, especially given how nice the staff were, always checking up on us and telling us about the motivation...
