Hyatt Regency Sarasota

I am very disappointed with this hotel. Very unpleasant smell inside. It has the feel of a budget stay. Furniture is old. The view we had is nice. No complaints there. This is not the first time I have stayed in Sarasota within this price range, but this is the worst quality one. SorryRooms: Bad smell

The hotel was very clean and overall very nice. The hotel staff were also very welcoming and friendly. The only problem is that nothing is included with the room. There is a resort fee of $27 a day and a parking fee of $25 a day. Not to mention there isn’t a complimentary breakfast. Room service is also not available right now.

The only reason why I'm giving this 4 stars is because when we attended it must have been a soccer week for kids. There were kids everywhere playing soccer in the hallways and the parents weren't doing anything about it, at 10pm. I have kids so I don't care about that it's the principle. Other than that, room was clean, pool was nice (crowded). Good and drinks very over priced. Voir le carte

Our time at the Hyatt in Sarasota was beautiful. We got the Bi level suite on the 10th floor. It had an amazing view of Sarasota facing the water and parks below. At night the view was even better. The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. The resort has kayaks ,bikes, paddle boarding and more for a very low price. I look forward to staying here with my family again soon.

Room: The rooms were comfortable, though we did have some noise from the room next to us on one occasion. Activities nearby: There are plenty of things to do in the area, including kayak tours, beautiful beaches, botanical gardens, and more. The hotel also offers rentals for kayaks, bikes, and other equipment. Safety: We felt safe during our stay, whether parking our rented car in the hotel lot or walking to nearby restaurants. Walkability: The hotel is located within walking distance of many unique and enjoyable restaurants, though some may require a short walk of about .5 miles. We spent 3 nights in June 2023 and had a good experience, mostly because if the staff. The front desk ladies were amazing! They were so friendly and helpful.I loved the location, the rooms, and the balcony.Two things we did not like were the uncomfortable mattresses (spring mattresses . They were stiff and made us feel sore in the morning.The second thing that bothered us was the first night, there were some drunk guests in our floor playing music so loud and talking in the hallway. There was also an incident of other guests throwing stuff off the balcony, kncluding a table! It waa hard for me to go back to sleep, but the hotel security took cafe of the issues immediately. We stayed for two nights. The first 24 hours, only one of the three elevators were working. The second 24 hours, only two of the three elevators were working. Thankfully our room was on the 3rd floor, so we took the stairs, as the line for the elevator was not pretty.Since we took the stairs, we saw food in the stairwell for our entire stay (photos attached). We kept thinking that at some point someone from the hotel would clean up this mess.The pool bar was woefully understaffed.The one afternoon we went to the pool, they were out of pool towels. We shared two of the busiest days of the year, and loved every second we were here! We stayed July 3rd and 4th for my birthday mini vacation in Sarasota. I was impressed with the room, the view, the food, the staff and the cleanliness... We shared a lot of time at the pool mainly, and had cocktails and lunch in the pool area. After having meals in the dining room, we relaxed in our room and enjoyed the view of Sarasota Bay from the balcony. I felt so welcome and comfortable, I could have stayed the whole month... This hotel is fantastic with many amenities. The parking options are convenient, with both self parking and valet available. The check-in process is quick and easy, and they offer express check out for those who prefer it. The rooms are all lovely, with or without a balcony, and boast amazing views. We were fortunate enough to stay in rooms on different sides, each offering a different but equally enjoyable view. The even-numbered rooms provide a city and partial water view, while the odd-numbered rooms offer a channel view with a glimpse of the gulf.
