Great Thai spot downtown! Parking maybe a bit difficult to find but totally worth it. Plenty of outdoor seating and the service is great when they see you. May have to poke your head in to get their attention. Good was amazing and great prices. I will definitely be back to try the other dishes they had.

If It Is Kitchen & Café is a spacious Thai restaurant located right in downtown Gainesville. The staff is friendly, and the food is excellent. While the furniture could use some updating and there are some worn spots near the bathroom, the dining experience is still very enjoyable. Definitely give it a try when you're in the area. This historic spot has been through many iterations over the years and this restaurant feels like a square peg in a round hole. But it is a delicious square peg in a cozy round hole. This amazing pan-Asian menu, with everything from sushi to curry and fried rice to their famous Doo Dee noodles, will make you look past the outdated interior and its mismatched furniture and booths. There are literally dozens of dishes that I want to try, so hopefully this iteration sticks around!

Officially my new favorite Thai restaurant in Gainesville. They also have surprisingly good Japanese dishes! Highly recommend their curries, noodle dishes, and the katsudon. The interior isn't particularly impressive, but everything we ordered came outpretty fast and flavors were on point. We got takeout later on in the week to make sure it wasn't a fluke and we weren'tdisappointed. Service was efficient and friendly. Prices were very reasonable for generous portions and quality of food.Definitely coming back!

Visited 05/16/2022. Wanted to try a different Thai place than the one I usually go to. Food overall was good but nothing crazy. We ordered some of the pricier items such as the Salmon Truffle Carpaccio and it felt underwhelming. Chicken Pad thai, one thecheapest things we ordered, ended up being some of the best. Dirty thai tea was okay but it was chalky with the chocolate.Better off just getting the normal thai tea without the chocolate. Unagi Don was flavorful but pricey for what you get. Ambiancewas okay but the place seemed really messy. Service was fine. Overall might return but not too impressed. Voir le carte

this place is an absolute must stop in gainesville. the initial walk could throw them away, but if they make it at the recipe and manage the interesting smells they will be for a tasty egg. they have a very deep drink menu full of a buck of delicious alcohol-free options, they are nitro thai tee and their caramel tocotti soldiers were delicious. the waiters are honest and will certainly lead them to the best options on the menu, the prices are not yet updated on their online menu, so note that the inflation has hit this device, but eating is worth the price when they are in order with spending at least $20 per person.

We waited nearly 30 minutes for just our water. When we got it, we placed 3/4 of our entire order and then waited another 30 minutes before getting our drinks. One of our appetizers was brought over by a different server 5-10 minutes after that. We onlyreceived our food after asking where it was, and it arrived cold. At this point it had been nearly two hours, so my husband whowas starving, ate his food despite it being cold. When our server asked us if we were ready for the check, I asked to speak tothe manager.
