I was disappointed that my favorite part, the olives, were missing from my Il Colosseo salad. However, it was still enjoyable overall.

Fantastic service and delectable food! Definitely worth the tolls on the Outerbridge and Garden State Parkway every time! I’ll Colosseo is a hidden gem that always impresses!

The food is always amazing, and the service as well. Relaxing atmosphere, you never feel rushed. The only negative is there is a service charge if you pay with credit card . And they charged me $9 service fee for gluten free. Voir le carte

Il Colosseo has excellent Italian food. Our party of six tried several salads, calamari, eggplant parmesan, zuppa di mare, the veal special and the Frank Sinatra special. All were outstanding. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful evening.

When I first picked up there was a discrepancy in the door dash order. Just didnt show up on restaurants end. Hostess couldnt have been more friendly and helpful. While I probably would have enjoyed the meal more at the restaurant, it was still absolutely delicious. My husband has been searching for a Ricotta Homemade Italian Cheesecake since Rosina's closed and this hit the spot. Thanks for a great meal!

I ordered the Fioretti Boscaiola, but I found out that DoorDash requires you to choose a pasta before placing the order. I mentioned this in the comments and selected gnocchi so I could complete my order for the entrée. Unfortunately, they completely ignored my note and sent me gnocchi instead of the Boscaiola! My husband opted for angel hair pasta as a side with his shrimp scampi, but it came with overcooked, mushy rice instead! It was a terrible experience, and we won’t be ordering from here again! They forgot to make my son's pizza so our family of 6 gave him portions of our dinners so he could eat with us instead of watching us eat! Finally 15minutes after our dinners came out and we were all almost done his pizza came out! Waiter didn't write anything down when he took our orders so he simply forgot! Food came out cold, way too dark in the restaurant people actually had little flash lights out to look at menu! For such a high end Italian restaurant it was a really disappointing night!! Overall thumbs down from food to service and atmosphere!!

My family and friends have dined here numerous times, and each experience has been enjoyable, with great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service. Today, we held a funeral luncheon at the restaurant, and the owner and wait staff—Pasquale, Antonio, and Paul—were incredibly gracious. They were patient and accommodating to all our needs. Our family has roots that trace back to Mott Street in NYC, and although the next generations have scattered over the years, we all felt at home gathering here today. The food was delicious, and it was a comforting place for us to celebrate the life of our loved one. I highly recommend this restaurant for events, or for a nice lunch or dinner outing!

The only minor drawbacks are that service can be a bit slow during busy times if you're accustomed to quicker service, and it can get a little noisy during peak hours. However, this is not a quick dining place; it's an authentic Italian experience reminiscent of the best restaurants in the NYC area. I find the prices to be fair, especially given the current inflation, but remember this is a high-quality Italian restaurant, not just an upscale pizzeria, so you get what you pay for. There's no formal dress code, but most diners tend to dress up a bit (I usually wear nice jeans and a polo, but you wouldn’t look out of place in a suit and tie or a nice dress).
