Italy On Gilman - Carte

Ate there on Easter evening. Not crowded and very little noise. Service was above average. The linguine pescatore was very good and the serving was huge. The mussel appetizer was delicious. The linguine vongole and pork tortellini both were very tasty.

Ambiance was charming. Food was good, but a bit pricey. Service staff was friendly, but service was slow and not very attentive to the overall dinner. Had to fill my own water glass, ask to take our order and after food was served, never saw our waiter again.

The desserts at this restaurant are pretty good. After enjoying a delicious pasta meal at our friends' home in El Cerrito, we were craving something sweet, so we opted for tiramisu and panna cotta at the restaurant. The food was good, not remarkable, but yummy. We had the tortollini. Clearly it was not made in-house, but it tasted good. The sun reflecting off the car windows in the parking lot was a bit blinding. Hard to avoid, but maybe some shades for lunch? A little more attention to detail would be an improvement. Very nice staff!!

Good service, nice staff members. Appetizers -fries. Flavors were good but potatoes might have been slightly under cooked. Both dipping sauce were good. Fresh warm bread was good as well. Pasta was more on the al dente side, could have cooked a little longer. Husband said the same to his dish. Both had really good flavors regardless. Drinks were really good, rhum mojito. And dessert was okay.

We had made a reservation for the outdoor patio, but there was only a sidewalk in front of the parking lot. The table wasn't ready, so the hostess offered us a table inside next to the bar, which was better than sitting in the parking lot. The food was good, but we felt that it wasn't worth the price we paid. The waiter provided excellent service. Overall, we believe there are many other Italian restaurants with a better ambiance, higher quality food, and more reasonable prices. Voir le carte

We made a reservation for our daughter's graduation from UC Berkeley/Cal at the last minute on Open Table as our previous reservation got cancelled. The reservations were easy to make, the table was ready when we arrived, the staff was attentive and the food was wonderful! There was easy parking and they let us relax and have a nice meal with our family without the worry of turning our table. There was plenty of space between tables so as not to be cramped. The food was wonderful and the price point was good. All in all a 10/10 experience!

A good solid restaurant with something for everyone. The fish and seafood were top-notch. Great mussels and clams. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and delicious. We enjoyed the fritto misto and the servings were generous. The beer on tap was reasonably priced. A group of women nearby enjoyed a night out. Families brought their children and the toddlers were entertained. A pair of older men had a collegial discussion nearby. Really good restaurant for everyone. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. A good place to relax and just enjoy your meal.

The atmosphere at IOG is very charming and perfect for a romantic date. I ordered the Insalata Agrume salad, which was delicious with little gem, frisée, grapefruit, orange segments, fetta cheese, candied walnuts, and cherry vinaigrette. It was served with warm focaccia bread and olive oil and vinegar. The Scampi Di Gamberetti with linguini, wild shrimp, olive oil, calabrian chili, roasted garlic, and parsley was absolutely delicious. The pasta and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the portion size of the shrimp was generous. My dinner companion ordered the Pollo Picatta, grilled chicken with capers, white wine creamy lemon sauce, sautéed vegetables, and mashed potatoes. She thoroughly enjoye... Voir le carte
