"extremely overpriced. poor quality. the only reason it gets more than a 1 star is for the beer muffin (50% chance you'll get a dry one). if you wanna take a date here to faun over how much money you can throw away on a mediocre meal, then this is the place to burn 200$ on basic food and drinks for two. try the 40$ rib eye, they'll drown it in tenderizer to give you that powdered and rehydrated taste to your barley considerable sear. enjoy the 35 minute wait as you buy several 15$ drinks, or an 8$ beer. Be assured, staff will be with you soon, and make snide or petty remarks to coworkers as soon they think you're out of ear shot. don't forget the tip of course, let's see, 10% of my 257$ meal for two .... how about I just give you my first born instead. in short, stay home. make your own dinner for a fourth of the cost."

"Used to love this place but today just hurt my momma heart. We went for breakfast got drinks super fast and was told the other waitress would get our food. Waited for a bit someone came in after us got their drinks and then our waitress went and took their order still nothing on us never said hi to introduce herself nothing. My one year old being a hungry kiddo was fussy so I went to the counter to either order or leave she looked at me went back to talking to the other employee when she came to me. I finally just asked for our drink check she said let her go cancel our food and I said well we haven’t ordered still so it’s just drinks. She stopped said oh. Started ringing in the drinks (10$ for three) she ended up saying nevermind and apologized for the inconvenience but still? Saddens me that we were ignored because I love the food usually."

"We were up for the weekend for a band gig at Legends. We love to take part in the local eateries, as opposed to the commercial restaurants. One thing we love is breakfast. We heard Mama Carol 's Kitchen might be busy, but we went for it anyway. We parked in the back and came in what we assumed was the back door, as the cash register was straight across on the other side by the front door. You can see the whole dining area when you come in. There is also a counter to sit and eat your meal. I walked over to the front register/door and made eye contact with the young lady employee, and was greeted with a smile. I smiled and greeted her the same while noting we had 2 in our party. It was explained to me she wasn 't sure of the wait time. We 'd have to wait for someone to get up and grab their table. It was pretty much First Come gets it. But you have to watch the back door too, people wait on both sides Fortunately a table immediately opened up right next to us. We were immediately greeted by our Server Twylah, who brought our menus and asked what we would like to drink. A short moment later, Twylah revisited us to see what we selected from the menu. We explained that this was our first time at Mama 's and needed a little more time to peruse the menu. Twylah was hustling it, greeting her tables, bringing out food, getting orders, checking back, cleaning tables, bringing close out tickets, etc. After we placed our order, it was not long before the food came out. The place was PACKED, and the kitchen was OnFire, getting food out in a timely manner. I ordered way more than I usually do. I usually get Grits Toast. This time, I ordered grits, hashbrown, cheese omlette with a side of tortillas, biscuit/gravy. Definitely had leftovers. We usually split a pancake for dessert. Everything was great! I did have a little more butter on my grits than I usually use, so I scooped it on to the pancake. But they were good. My omlette was twice the size than what I usually get in most places. My hashbrowns had just the right amount of crispiness. The biscuit was homemade and delicious. I swear that gravy was Wataburger gravy, without the sausage! I wish I would have ordered a dozen biscuits and a quart of gravy To-Go! I had leftovers but polished off the biscuit/gravy and grits. My guy thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast. He was glad I pushed to come here. He was worried about the wait. Twylah had brought us a ToGo container to load our leftover haul and a fresh UnSweet Tea for the road. We snacked on our breakfast leftovers for dinner after our long drive home. It was yum yum good. When you 're done, you waddle your full happy belly up to the register to pay. We had no issues paying. It was the same young lady with her pleasantries as I paid. If we 're back in Chicasha, we 're definitely going to come back here and ask for Twylah too Hope you enjoy it as much as we did."

"My husband took me to the NEW Ben Jays here in Lawton,OK that just opened up for my birthday dinner. This was our 1st time there will NEVER go back or recommend anyone to go there. I'm not one to complain about food especially pizza as it's my favorite. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch my husband ordered a Pepperoni pizza. We couldn't even eat it as it was SOAKED in grease so bad that the whole bottom crust was soggy. And it was like this as soon as we got it. There was no flavor at all. I only ate one piece I felt like all I ate was grease. I know pizza can be greasy but this was REALLY BAD! We were so disappointed. And another thing was our waitress kept cutting me off when I was trying to talk to her to ask her a couple questions. She rushed me grabbed the menus off the table after I told her I wasn't done. When I went up to pay for our $60 dollar bill I told her we were very disappointed with our food that I couldn't even eat it because of how soggy it was from all the grease. And I told her it was my birthday that this was supposed to be special. She did say sorry but that was it. And she did see that we didn't even eat pizza when she brought us our boxes. We ended up throwing it all away. What a waste of $60 dollars. We were so hungry too left STILL hungry. This place has NOTHING on Luigis! Luigis is the BEST PIZZA place in Lawton. What's sad is we talked to another couple that ate here at Ben Jays here in Lawton a couple days ago they had a similar experience said they will never go back either. My husband actually got sick from eating his pizza because of the pizza being soaked in grease. I wouldn't even give one star but had to to be able to leave this review."

"Tonight's experience at the restaurant was very disappointing. We were one of only two tables in the entire restaurant around 5 pm, with two waitresses working. Despite this, we felt forgotten about as the other waitress attended to her table diligently. We had to wait a long time to place our order, and ended up running out of salsa, queso, and chips while waiting for our food. We even ran out of drinks, but thankfully the other waitress helped us out. We were never asked if we wanted sopapillas, and when the bill was brought to us, it was done abruptly. Overall, the food was not up to par with our previous experiences at the restaurant. It seems like tonight was just an off night, but unfortunately, we may have to look elsewhere for good Mexican food in Chickasha."
