"This is the best Vietnamese food I have ever tried. The restaurant has outdoor seating with trees providing shade from the sun. The prices are reasonable, but the taste of the food is even better! Some of the staff may not speak English fluently, but they are always polite and friendly. The hardworking owner seems to have a photographic memory as she remembers our orders from previous visits. If I could, I would move this restaurant, along with the owner and staff, to my home state. It will be the first place I visit on my next trip to National City. Trust me, once you try it, you will love it and want to come back often. Visited in October 2019 and found out that the original owners had moved from the East Coast, resulting in a slight change in the food taste. Despite that, I was still excited for dinner. Fast forward to May 2022, and my opinion remains the same - this is the best Vietnamese food I have ever tasted. I highly recommend it!"

"I came to try Fresheria for the first time on a Wednesday about 6pm. The restaurant has a nice decor, is very clean, and the service person taking my order at the counter was very friendly. The Special Torta (ham, pork, guac) and an Apple Salad were large, very fresh and tasty. The total cost with tax and $2 tip was $28.98. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to offer some spicy flavorings (e.g., a spicy mayo), as to my palate the two items seemed a bit bland. However, I was very happy with the visit, and would return to try other items on the menu. Recommended! And thanks to the owners for providing this nice restuarant."

"While waiting for my car's oil change at my favorite mechanic’s, located at the corner of 18th and National City Boulevard, I stumbled upon this delightful little restaurant and was pleasantly surprised! The cozy ambiance is perfect for a great breakfast. Although they serve lunch as well, I only tried their delicious breakfast. The Mexican coffee is absolutely divine—super hot and way better than all those pricey coffee shops! They also offer smoothies, espresso, and a juice bar featuring veggie and fruit juices, including wheatgrass and ginger dishes, all aimed at promoting good health. The place is charming and very welcoming, open all week except on Sundays."

"I really enjoyed the food here; the crispy pork belly was exceptional. They offer nearly a dozen varieties of poke, which you can choose as a side dish or buy by weight. The staff is incredibly friendly. The spicy garlic poke lived up to its name—actually spicy and super fresh!"

"Beautiful place and friendly service. We tried the spaghetti carbonara and the pizza Gabriela. The pizza was tasty but I thought it was way too thick and soft (too much dough). This was a bit disappointing, especially because the owner is a real Italian, but perhaps the kitchen has been slightly adapted to American standards. We have often been to Italy and there the pizza bases are thinner and crispier, this looked more like an American Style pizza. I couldn't finish it and taking it with me is not for me because a cold or reheated pizza just doesn't taste the same as a freshly made one. Next time I will either not order a pizza or ask for half. The spaghetti carbonara contained cream, which is not really what it should be, but everything tasted delicious and the price was reasonable."
