"The food is always great and fresh. The waiter is at the top. But the young manager (Joey) is the jewel of the place. Seeing his greeting and talking to every table is best for the service. I think he has to know every name and what's even better is that almost everyone knows his name. I heard he asked for family members who did not come to lunch, I heard him ask about the school, there was an elderly lady in a wheelchair with which he sat about five minutes and she gave him the greatest hug. He greeted, ranting commands, refilled teas, was cooking in the back kitchen. A place is just as good as it managers and owners of The Jay treat this young man great. On the same note, the owners were there to make rounds, hallos to say and just make the place even better. I was when the owners didn't show up and Joey is still the same Joey!! Great food, great atmosphere and a perfect manager.... Thank you. Joey for the great service your people are on the point as always!"

"I visited this restaurant for the first time after it was highly recommended by some acquaintances who live in the area. I will definitely be returning! I ordered the Catfish Maria, which was a bed of rice pilaf topped with a delicious grilled catfish filet and shrimp crawfish in a tasty sauce. The dish also came with a side salad with homemade ranch dressing and garlic bread. All of this for less than $20! The atmosphere was clean and casual, with friendly staff and great old-school country music playing. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. "Great place to stop an eat either a sandwich from Subway or a Burger. They offer a good selection for both with the daily specials being off for each. Location is clean and food is fresh. Friendly staff as it should be with the country flare. When I can I stop by passing through. "about 3 weeks ago i took my family out to eat, we always drove by this restaurant and wanted to experience the food there. i have to say the food was not the best not to mention the service. when we arrived no one greeted us. 3 different waitresses came to the table before they could figure out who was gona give us service.we asked for a high chair for my daughter and no one brought it. when i saw how bad service was i got up and grab it my self. i could see the staff watching me as i got up to grab the high chair. i was very dissatisfied and disappointed at this moment. when they finally took our order i was hoping the food would make up for the service, little did we know it was not. i was actually surprised of the ambiance this place had every time we drove by. i dont recommend going there, dont waist your time or money. if you want to get served good food with good service go some place else, some where were theres waitresses willing to serve you. first and last time. bad experience."

"Subpar food for subpar service at ridiculously expensive price. It's honestly hit or miss, but more misses than hits. It's a restaurant in a strip mall and nothing more. When it was 36 Bar and Grill it was much better. Calling it pub is a complete misnomer because it's nothing like a pub. The menu fairly limited and if you want an over priced cheese burger in a strip mall environment knock yourself out. Just be prepared to wait a long time for your overpriced cheese burger. Or just go to Rosenberg to a restaurant with attentive staff and good food, and prompt drink service. The prices at Rosenberg restaurants vary comparable. Additionally, their website menu doesn't reflect the actual menu in the restaurant. They have a Facebook page that rarely posts what the daily special is. They also don't answer their phones. This happens far more than it should. I really don't blame the employees at all. They seem to try to do there best, but it seems management simply doesn't care, creating a revolving door of employees who don't seem happy at all."
