"I visited Jimmy's Egg for the first time and found the atmosphere reminiscent of a blend between Denny's and Waffle House. I appreciated the open kitchen, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. I didn’t receive a check-back after two minutes, and I went without a drink refill the entire time. My server spent quite a bit of time chatting with a guest at the bar. On the brighter side, I noticed other servers were working hard. My table was cleared by a different server, who also had to inform mine that I was ready for the check. As for the food, it was underwhelming. The diced ham could have been of better quality, with several chewy pieces that I ended up leaving behind. The potatoes also needed more cooking time, as many were still hard and crunchy in the center. However, the cleanliness of the restaurant was impressive; there were no dirty tables, and I could see the clean kitchen, which earned them some points. Overall, I’d rate the experience as four stars: one for my server, four for the food (despite the low-quality meats bringing it down), a five for cleanliness, and another five for the hardworking servers. I believe there’s potential for improvement, especially with a more creative menu. For instance, they have burgers and waffles but no waffle burger? I’d love to share more ideas with Jimmy!"
