"This is a personal, even one of my favorite places to go to eat on the rare occasion that I decided to go out to eat. Food is absolutely amazing and very filling. They put it in containers, so if you don't finish by the time you're full, you can always take it home, The employees are very friendly and nice and occasionally you will see the owner of the restaurant actually cleaning tables doing the orders and just interacting with the employees. I have talked with him several times and he's always very friendly. Very open to conversation. If your looking for some good food that will fill you up I highly recommend this place !"

Excellent hot dogs, among the best Chicago dogs anywhere. The best fries, and a LOT of them. Fast, friendly service. Drive past Portillos and go to Johnny's, you won't regret it.

I normally come here once a week or so on my lunch break, and have been doing so for the past 2-3 months. And it’s a great spot. Food is very good, and I love coming here, Johnny is always super nice and provides a great experience. And even when it’s one of the other workers, they’re super polite too. If you’re looking for a nice local spot, would definitely recommend. I tell my coworkers and friends about here too

I recently posted a two star review on a patty melt even though everyone in the family really liked their food. I apologize for this!! Sometimes in life we do things and wish we could rewind the clock. For years we came here and had excellent food. After moving we did not go there till recently. I made a very bad decision posting that. We personally feel the owner is a wonderful man and works so hard for his business and customers! Again, I’m sorry!
