"I used to absolutely love their chicken finger subs! I haven’t ordered there in awhile and was craving their chicken finger sub and I was absolutely DISAPPOINTED to the max. The outside of the sub roll was burnt to a crisp, the chicken fingers were so over cooked that there was barely any meat in it. I only asked for blue cheese and jalapeños, no lettuce, no tomatoes and the sub was dripping juice everywhere. I couldn’t tell if it was the watery blue cheese or juice from the jalapeños. I ate a few bites and my son had some because I didn’t want to waste my money, but it was the worst chicken finger sub I have ever had. They must have new employees because I’ve never had this issue in the 6 years I’ve been ordering from them. I will definitely not order from them again, I’ll just go to Franco’s."

Our food was ready right on time at the scheduled pick up. The chicken finger sub was big and tasted great. The funnel cake fries were sweet and covered in cinnamon and powdered sugar. The pizza was average so we’ll definitely stick with the subs next time. Voir le carte

Great service, friendly staff, speedy lunch, tasty food, perfect portions. I was able to have half my sub there and the other half was packaged to go when my order was brought to me. In my experience, there is a high level of consistency from location to location, as well!

I work and live close by. This has become my lunch spot of choice. The staff are fantastic, always friendly and get everything out really fast. The food is always fresh and tasty. I'm currently eating a delicious Stinger from here and wanted to give them the kudos they deserve. I love John's!

They go through employees like people went through toilet paper in the covid days. Horrible company to work for. Former driver quit today cause I was given an ultimatum when I told the owner I plowed before I even started. Only cares about him and him making money. My co-workers were awesome to work with Voir le carte

Sorry to say that John 's has faltered in the past couple years. Used to be the best and my go to place, but they 've raised prices beyond their competition, the subs are significantly smaller than before, and they now add a surcharge if you use a credit card. We now patronize the other local places that are trying harder to provide good value.

The price of the Nightmare sub on line and on their board is $13.09, yet when we went to pick up, they tried to charge us $33.00 for 2 subs. We pointed to what their posted price was and they said their prices are subject to change. So they tried to charge way more than their posted price. They can keep their food. This is a dishonest business practice!

"A WNY staple for almost 80 years! Mr Mrs. Carl Greta Anderson, opened the first Anderson’s Frozen Custard in the Bronx, NY. They say that missing family they returned to Buffalo, to open their second custard stand on Kenmore Avenue in 1947. From there they expanded to other locations, such as Tonawanda (pictured in the attached pics), Amherst, Williamsville, Lancaster...The Amherst location lacks some of the initial charm of some of the older locations but is clean, updated and comfortable. There is a drive thru window and outdoor seating when the weather permits. You order at the front counter and they call your name when your food is ready for pick up. This is not a 5 star roast beef, but it's considerably better than an Arby's etc., as this is 100% natural beef (so 4 of 5 stars for me). Moist and delicious every time with Kaiser or the traditional kimmelwick roll options (horseradish available too). My last trip it tasted great, but was cooked a little more than I like (med rare med). Their pickles are pretty amazing too.Curly fries (good not great), salads, soup, chicken and many other options available. Ice cream cones (hard and soft serve)and even delicious ice cream cakes (my favorite) are available to go. Great for parties etc. Fountain drinks (you fill refill) are available with Pepsi and lesser known but unique flavor options including loganberry. If you're hungry and in the area of one of these, stop in!"
