"After watching a movie at The Jane Pickens theatre, my party and I arrived at La Vecina for our reservation. We were early by half an hour, but the staff kindly accommodated us despite the busy evening. The service was friendly and the tortillas and salsa they served were surprisingly delicious. Our first cocktail, a Negroni, wasn't to our liking, so we asked our delightful server for a recommendation. She brought us a margarita with a red wine topper that was incredibly tasty. The atmosphere at La Vecina is always lively and fun, making it the perfect spot for a date night when paired with a movie at the classic theatre across the street. Service was excellent and the food was delicious."

The restaurant offers healthy vegan choices, but unfortunately they do not have flour tortillas. Since I am allergic to corn tortillas, we ultimately decided not to dine there.

Always good food and great service. The nachos are the BEST! Only recommendation, if you are sensitive to heat level ask before you order. They will make each dish less spicy if that’s your preference. Voir le carte

I loved all the vegetarian options, I’ve ordered twice so far and it doesn’t disappoint. I love the packaging as well. This is a new takeout restaurant and is part of the Newport Resturant Group. It’s the best Mexican food I’ve had in years.

The margaritas were fantastic, but the food was just alright. The nachos were a letdown. We're not sure if we would return as we prefer Diego's. The front door kept swinging open, causing a draft all evening. They should fix the door because customers had to keep getting up to close it.
