"This very old and popular restaurant changed property last year or so. I was not impressed by my first visit shortly after his renovation. On Sunday we went to a late lunch, but found that they added a breakfast menu. Each item on the menu is made fresh in the house. The Youtiao fried breadstick, a traditional Chinese breakfast food) was the best I tried in America. So was the Beef Noodle Soup. At $9.95 $5.95 weekday dinner) the beef noodle soup was a tad expensive, but it is worth for its taste and quality. We also ordered three types of dumplings. Your Mapo Tofu was a vegetarian version. Yeah, we ordered too much food for three people. The service was fast and friendly, but they need to bring out the empty dishes from the table above all, while bringing out new dishes."

Really good food at great prices, the black beans have to try chicken or the sweet and acidic ribs.

I've been here for years and it's amazing and specifically wired the new redesign looks even better, but the food still amazing.

Hole in the wall dumpling spot that has recently been updated that I've been visiting for years. They have great dumplings and triple meat flat noodle is really good. Never had any problems with the service.

This was my first time here. Loved the food! Me and my friends ordered their lamb with scallions, general tso's chicken, and chicken fried rice. The place is decorated beautifully. Wonderful place overall. Service overall was not the best but we were not ignored. Overall they get 5 stars as the food really was done that well. Voir le carte

I'm here before the renovation, and I always loved her food. This hasn't changed since its renovation! Not only does the restaurant have a better ambience, but the waiters are polite, the food is still so cheap, and the portions are also incredible. The dumplings, rice and chicken are all. In any case, you come here if you are hungry like hell and want a nice big meal.

This place is a hole in the wall. We ordered the Bath chap, Grandma Braised Pork Belly, Cumin Toothpick Lamb and some kind of non- spicy fish and they were all delicious. My favorite dish was the Grandma Pork Belly, it was so tender and soft that it melted in your mouth. Super flavorful. This place is owned by a Chinese couple and they were super nice and friendly to us when we came. Highly recommend

the first time to eat here. I had a demand for sharp noodles in red chili oil saw this place of bellaire in chinatown. the staff could not speak much English, but that was not important, they were kind. the sharp noodles waited for them to be ready. the restaurant is traditionally look inside. the contributors (and I) watched a Chinese movie on TV drinking tee because it was slow. will come back, the dumplings were delicious the broth they came it was tastefully spicy! After I saw what they done with food they serve to public on Thanksgiving Day. I won't go there at all. It happened on Thanksgiving Day around 2pm. Operator Staff hanging cooked pork's head, duck etc. outside the back alley. We also saw they were using fly swatter slapping flies on the foods many times. In addition, they are using bare hand to touch those foods and sniffing them. I believe that customers have a right to know what are they truly eating. It was disturbing!

The food was excellent! Not an expert to say if it was authentic to its roots but definitely finger licking good. Will take away one star as they did not have two things that were on the menu wontons and kidneys. Also there was only one server we went at 7:30 for dinner). And the sequence of servings of the dishes was a bit haphazard and probably only dependent on how they were getting ready. No major complaints though as we kinda enjoyed that experience too. Will absolutely come back.

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
