"This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had! The service was terrible and the food was simply disgusting. I know Cajun cuisine, and what they served me was not Cajun at all. It was drowning in a thick sauce that I couldn't even finish. They called it gumbo, but it was far from it—it was more like chowder with barely any seafood, just some tiny shrimp. I'm not one to criticize a restaurant without reason; if it’s good, I’ll say so, but when it’s not, I’ll be honest. I spent all day searching for a Cajun restaurant and was extremely disappointed with what we ended up getting. I almost walked out three times without paying! The only reason I settled up was to avoid embarrassing the girl I was with. Please, save your time and money and go somewhere else! Sorry, but that’s the truth from a Louisiana Cajun!"

This place was great. The food came quickly and was very delicious. The sauce was really amazing. Nothing was over cooked and was near effortless to peel. The server was very informative on the menu and took great care of us.

Fantastic food and fantastic service. Can?t find places like this very often in West Monroe. The items on the menu are immaculate to say the least. In terms for price, it is super fair, and their food is delicious. Would eat here again. Voir le carte

I orders to go since I had just got to town and it was close to closing time so I just ordered the Combo C on the menu. Everything was amazing with great flavor and seasoning. I asked for mild since I don?t eat a lot of spicy food. Great food in myopinion

initially ordered the create your own medium with house sauce on the side. I got the order and it was very incorrect. got it redelivered and there was literally no meat in half of the crab legs. crawfish were steamed so much they were mushy. my corn and potatoes were great!

My waitress, Desiree, was soooo pleasant! This was my first visit, but I'm pretty sure it won't be my last. Food came out hot and delicious. I had the house seasoning on medium spicy King Crab legs and shrimp and it was really good. Took about 20 minutesto get our food. I'll definitely be back. Voir le carte

During our first visit, we were not very pleased with the food. However, our most recent experience was fantastic! Our waitress was exceptional and even went above and beyond to assist a table with a crying baby. The piña colada was wonderfully strong. Despite it being a busy Sunday, our meals were served quickly and were hot. I really appreciated the seasonal selections and the level of spiciness. Honestly, I can't wait to return!

The Laughing Crab focuses on boiled shellfish and offers a variety of dishes. We tried the lobster, crab, and shrimp, all of which were delicious, though quite messy. The dockside decor added a fun atmosphere, and our server was very attentive. However, I do wish they would switch to metal silverware instead of plastic. While I appreciate the casual vibe, for a $50 dinner that includes crab legs to crack open and a whole potato to eat, it would be nicer not to have to use a plastic fork. That said, most of the eating is done with your hands, and they provide plastic gloves and aprons for protection.

"To sum it all up, WOW. Just WOW!?? We were told to come try the food by several people on the 318 Food Page/Group here on Facebook. The food did NOT disappoint ? we got the loaded Cajun fries, the gumbo, the pho, the fried rice, the stir fry noodles, and finished off with a king cake funnel cake.? The fusion and technique used to create these lovely dishes is outstanding. You can taste the love in each dish and you can tell they truly put an effort into everything here. Our server (apologies because I don’t recall her name) was so sweet, very attentive and efficient! Even when things got a little busy, she continued to offer amazing customer service. (As a former server and manager, servers have a huge impact on the meal/dining experience) her service enhanced the experience for us and just made the visit overall VERY pleasant. The Viet Iced Coffee she made was literally to die for and I wish I could’ve ordered a whole bucket full of it??? The location is kinda “out their” but trust me, it’s worth the drive, the walk, the bike ride, etc! Support local during the pandemic (well always, but especially during these times) Don’t let the negative reviews steer you away, I assure you it’s beyond worth it, and as friendly as the staff is, give them an opportunity to fix anything if your dining experience differs from mine! 5 Stars!??? we are PCSing overseas in less than 2 weeks, but trust me when I say we’ll be back before we go!?"

"Our reservation was for 7 pm? we arrived 10 minutes before. We were told there is a wait?asked about outdoor seating as it was available on a first come first serve. We were told there were several tables that had been closed out and they were just sitting. We decided to wait for our table.. we were finally seated at 7:17 pm. We get drinks and bread and for 15 minutes we wait for our server to come get our appetizer order and we go ahead and give our entrée order? appetizercame out quickly, but the entrees took about 45 minutes so we spent 30 minutes just sitting and waiting- server had not come by to check on us. We finally get our entrees and they were a bit salty. My friends entree was too salty to eat -we asked for another entree to replace the one that was too salty to eat and the server tried to explain its seasoned but we know the difference between salty and seasoned. 30 minutes of waiting for the replacement dish- still no food so weasked to cancel the order and pay for our current ticket. The server said well it?s already been ordered- so we still asked to cancel the dish and bring our ticket. Finally the ticket came we closed out and left? this was our first timedining here and will be our last. It was noisy but we were able to have decent level conversations. I would have liked for our dining experience to be better for the prices and atmosphere. We never saw a manager to address our issues. Wehad to go to dinner after our dinner!!!"
