"the mountain needed a place like this. Lounge environment, reasonable wine prices, indoor/outside seats, where I can catch up like a noble adult with a friend. do not sit in a stuffed bar, do not feel rushed or pressure to finish my drink or meal. Eat is great! I was surprised how good I had the first time eaten there. I usually poo poo avocado toast but their avocado toast with burrata yum yum! and recently enjoyed $2 tern happy hour always a victorious instagram worthy food presentations! only the reason not to get five stars is that I thought at my last visit that the day service was missing. we were not greeted when we entered, although the hostess saw us. the hostess and the man who worked the kitchen seemed more interested in flirting with each other than offering us a table and menus, and in the way of the environment weinbar, lounge atmosphere, with the type of food they offer, I expect the service to be a bit more about it. but when I was served by the manager (if they were first opened), he was super friendly and helpful."

I was so happy when this wine bar opened in downtown Mountain View. This is the perfect place to go for a drink after work, and they have quite a tasty menu as well. Be warned though: it's fairly small, so it fills up quickly!

The good: really good food. Small dishes and charcuterie perfectly suited to sharing and chatting. Clean, upscale look. The bad: acoustics so bad we couldn't actually chat. We were there when it was full. Limited wine selection and no half glasses or flights. Voir le carte

large wine bar, choose weeping and food options available, which is great because they know that everything they offer has been targeted and introduced into their menu. we had the oysters with a glass lambrusco and beer. when I accidentally dropped my beer, they were kind enough to replace it, even though I was the klempner. friendly staff and great ambiente, we look forward to making these of our Go-tos.

Indian cuisine but upscaled. Interesting Indo-modern restaurant. Nice menu with many choices some items not seen at other Indian restaurants. Good selection of vegetarian fare. Very good service and large portions. Really like the lasooni gobi, butter chicken and mixed grille tandoori. The desserts were very good. Never had a stuffed gulab jamun before but it was very good. Better to go with more people to be able to sample more dishes.

I am only giving this restaurant 1 star for the service. We made a reservation through OpenTable and I even asked for a confirmation in person, to which I received a positive response. However, when we arrived at 10pm, a different lady told us it was impossible to have a table, even just for a drink. It was a Friday evening on a long weekend and there were still many other people enjoying food and drinks at that time in the restaurant. Despite the French style ambiance, the service itself was not up to par. Voir le carte

Small wine bar with appetizers and some entrees. We only had wine so I can't speak for the food, but the service was excellent if not too quick. The atmosphere is decent. The $7 glasses of wine are just ok. The bottles from this list are $35 so at this price point you can't expect to have amazing wine. Good variety though there's many Italian wines. We thought the red and Brut were decent. What's strange is that on the next page of the menu it jumps to $70 per bottle. Then it continues to high prices but there's no higher end wine glass options. I'm not sure how they expect people to pay that much for a bottle when their glasses are inexpensive and nothing to shout about. Overall I think the...

Cozy, new wine bar on Castro Street. Went in there on a week night to catch up with some friends. The place is decorated well, staff is friendly, welcoming and not pretentious. Wine menu is small and well crafted. They have about 4 5 varieties of Sparkling, White, Red wines and beer. Wines are categorized by their flavor profile and robustness. All their wines are $7 for a glass and $30 for a bottle (which is a good deal, as wine bar prices come . They have a small food menu (although I did not try any of their food . The wait staff checked in on us at regular intervals without being pushy and they did not rush us out at closing time. Overall, nice wine bar that I will definitely be coming b...

"Date Night ASA Restaurant has two locations in the Bay Area and their Los Gatos location earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition This was my first dining experience at their more north location in downtown Los Altos With high ceilings and heart themed adorned menus, this was a perfect spot for a Valentine’s week dining experience The menu here is slightly different from the Los Gatos location and I’ve heard that the two locations may not be as closely affiliated when they first opened I loved the appetizers and particular loved the anchovy bread with two different anchovy types topped on crisp, warm bread. The Dungeness crab appetizer was also excellent For entrees, I opted for ASA’s signature exotic mushroom pasta that is on both the Los Gatos and Los Altos menu As a fungi fan, I absolutely love this dish and it’s one of the best pasta dishes in the South Bay and Peninsula The only miss was their special of the day of striped bass over risotto. The purple yam purée was sour and the risotto dry with zero moisture or liquid and more like a cooked rice dish than a risotto ASA is a fantastic destination for the Bay Area and while the prices are elevated, they reflect elevated cuisine (and high ceilings) Smoked and Stoned $16 Anchovy Bread $16 Dungeness Crab Toast $36 Special Striped Bass over Risotto ASA’s Exotic Mushroom Pasta $34 ASA Restaurant (Los Altos, CA) Reservations are recommended on Opentable and dining is indoor only. Credit cards including AmEx are accepted."

"The experience here from start to finish was pretty odd, and the service was bad. Menus weren't brought to us for a long time, they apologized when they eventually gave the menus to us. The restaurant was nearly empty aside from one other table, but everything was slow. We weren't checked in on at all during the meal. When we ordered, the waitress was very confused and unfamiliar with the menu. I assumed she was new, but then we received the same confusing service from all staff. We were randomly brought French fries that we didn't order, and then that kept happening with various other menu items The veggies in all the dishes were cold and tasted watery, unseasoned, and like they had been frozen. Scallion pancakes had no scallions in them at all. Basil eggplant dish had no basil at all. Smoothie wasn't blended properly: all ice at the bottom, and only a super sweet watery liquid would come through the straw. It tasted like the same overly-processed sauce was on every dish, nothing felt fresh. The kimchi rice was a good menu item, but it didn't really taste like kimchi. Just seasoned rice. Appetizer and drinks were brought out after we finished everything. A staff member tried to argue with us when we wanted to send something back. When we paid and thanked them, they didn't say a word to us or even look in our direction, and didn't give us a customer copy of the receipt."
