Super good!!! And worth the 2 hour wait!!! The Brisket is basically smoked meat butter.

A one-of-a-kind BBQ spot! I've been there three times in a row and I definitely plan to return.

Overall the meat is good, especially the ribs and turkey. The pitmaster does need to lay off the salt. The salt flavor is definitely a bit overwhelming. The brisket and pork left a lot to be desired and is not ordering. The beans, coleslaw and potato salad also leave a lot to be desired. The beans especially are undercooked and bland. However grits are really good.

The first time I attempted to visit, I struggled to find a parking spot and eventually gave up after circling the block for 30 minutes. However, this time we found a great parking space. The wait in line was definitely worth it, and I can see why this place is consistently featured on lists of the best restaurants in the country. The jalapeño cheddar grits were fantastic!

Everything I bought was the best. I ordered 2 plates Jalepino Cheddar Grits, Beef and Pork Ribs, Brisket, Sausage, Ranch Style Beans, and Cole Slaw. Little confusion on meat plates. Brisket plus Brisket or two meats. You can't have Beef Rib as one of the meats in a two meat plate. The folks behind the counter very friendly and have no problem adding a bit more meat for no extra cost and free samples. This BBQ will cost you a bit more than most other places. Be prepared to spend some money. I also bought their Pecan Pie. I haven't tasted it yet. Also, go before they open up, otherwise you could get stuck in line and not receive any food if they run out. Absolutely incredible BBQ! It's definitely one of the top three I've ever had. Seriously, it's that fantastic. The owner, assuming that's who it was, was so helpful in getting my young children settled, and he was incredibly kind. The brisket is outstanding, the ribs are delightful, and the jalapeño cheddar sausage is simply delicious! The pecan pie is to die for—I don’t even like pecan pie, but I found myself wanting to order another slice. It's just that good! There’s limited seating indoors, but there is outdoor seating available. This place is absolutely worth going out of your way for! Tip: if you want the best selection of meat, be sure to arrive early.

After tasting the brisket, we ordered two brisket sandwiches. The brisket was incredibly juicy and practically melted in our mouths. Their homemade BBQ sauce is perfectly flavored, and for those who enjoy a bit of spice, they offer a version with a nice kick that isn't overpowering. We also tried three side dishes. I had never experienced grits before, but after having their jalapeño cheese grits, I’m definitely a fan now! They had the ideal balance of jalapeño flavor and cheese. We also sampled the ranch-style beans, which were delicious. The restaurant I visited is located on University Drive. It's a small place, and a line starts forming early at 10:45 AM. There are only a couple of tables inside (2-3) and a picnic table outside, which can get quite hot in the summer. Despite the limited parking, the line for the BBQ is impressive! If you don't arrive early, you might miss out on their famous bratwurst, as they often sell out. They also offer other options like sausage, turkey, and smoked chicken. While the menu is simple, it's satisfying. As a Texan myself, I suspect the owner is from Texas too; it's clear they grew up on Texas BBQ.
