"I visited on a weekday right when the place opened. It wasn’t very crowded at first, but it started filling up as time went on. They currently have an All-You-Can-Eat deal, and I was pleased with it. The service was prompt and attentive, with quick water refills and speedy delivery of dishes. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. We sampled the Pork Belly, Pork, Beef, and Lamb, all of which were tasty and well-portioned for our group. We also tried the watercress, fried bean curd, silken tofu, quail egg, and noodles. While most items were standard, the noodles stood out as particularly good. For appetizers, we had the pork dumplings and brown sugar rice cake. The pork dumplings were typical, but the brown sugar rice cake was a highlight—crispy and not overly sweet. The sauce bar had a solid selection, including the usual options and a nice touch of chopped peanuts for added flavor. There was also a dessert bar with ice cream and popsicles, which was a nice bonus. The ambiance was quite pleasant, with unique chairs and a well-thought-out theme. The only minor issue was that the pot was a bit far from my seat, but that was more about my seating arrangement than anything else. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely return."

It’s just so-so. The buffet also has limited time slots. It’s expensive to come here specially to change the order.

All you can eat $35 per person after tax, way better than $70 per person when I visited here a year ago. Service 10/10

The spicy butter hotpot is absolutely delicious, and the service is excellent. I've been there three times and plan to return. I highly recommend this restaurant!

False advertising, false propaganda, all you can eat stickers on the door, and the front desk telling you not to do all you can eat when you enter the store are a waste of consumers' time. Voir le carte

Absolutely loved the authentic Sichuan flavors at DaLongYi Hotpot! The broth was rich and spicy, just the way I like it. The ingredients were fresh, and the service was top-notch. Can't wait to come back for another round!

The service was very fast, we lacked nothing. That said, there were errors on 2 occasions in what we ordered. The food was delicious, they have a nice variety of meat and vegetables, their desserts are super good, I was pleasantly surprised by the oolong jelly which I had never tasted before. I can't wait to go back!

I ordered the mandarin duck pot. The butter pot was very spicy. If you can't eat spicy food, order it carefully. I like fat intestines and potatoes. The brown sugar glutinous rice cake and self-service ice cream are also good. When there are many people, it seems that I can't take care of the food. The brown sugar glutinous rice cake is too much. Several times, I finally got it Voir le carte

Before switching to self-service, my friends and I thought it was the first/second place in Boston. Now you are still the second place, but this is because the other hot pot restaurants in Boston are basically too bad. The quality of the meat has gone down the tahini has become sweet, I understand you are catering to foreigners and lowering prices to compete with Happy Lamb, but I still recommend you at least improve the quality of the beef.

On top of the food experience, the service was extremely disappointing. The table across from us seemed to either know our server personally or were employees themselves. Our table was completely overlooked throughout the entire meal. Even though we were seated before the other table, our server didn’t take our order until after they had served the other table! As we waited, our soup ran low and it wasn’t replenished until we asked. We also didn't receive more water or any of the missing dishes until we requested them. Throughout this time, our server was primarily engaged in conversation with their friends, neglecting their duties to us.

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
