"A local friend recommended this restaurant because of their red beans, sausage and rice and catfish. They did not disappoint. We dined in and had a very friendly server. From the tempting menu we instead chose a tasty crawfish étouffée and meat pie (flaky crust and lots of filling platter with dirty rice, each served with a fresh side salad, and great tasting iced teas. This was a very good and filling lunch! A bit more costly but definitely worth it! We did ordered the catfish and red beans, sausage and rice with bread pudding to go for our local friend!"

"I had a family friend who knew that I LOVE tea. He brought me a gallon from cane. Let's just say I Love it. Since then I buy 2 gal every 2 weeks, let's just say, I'm hooked, today 1-15-25 I purchased 2 gallons again with pickup after work. This pickup was disappointing, I could have made this tea at home. It wasn't the same quality. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Other"

"When my friends and I arrived in Natchitoches yesterday, we decided to dine at this restaurant. I ordered the redfish, while my spouse opted for the seafood stew. Our friends enjoyed fried oysters and shrimp. Everything was perfectly cooked, and the restaurant was bustling with locals who were enjoying their meals and chatting with one another. I did think the prices for steaks were a bit on the high side, but overall, I was very impressed. The owner was present and made a point to interact with customers. I was pleased with our choice to eat here."

"More than just a dinner. My wife and I are from San Antonio, Tx, but we’re born and raised here in Natchitoches. We popped in late last night for the Ahi and steak. The food and service were both excellent! We were not surprised at all by the level of quality, when we found out that the new owners were actually our wedding planners back in 2002. They hosted our rehearsal dinner at the Mason Louisiane, we exchanged vows under a 200 year old oak tree on the riverbank and actually had our wedding reception at the Mariners! It was also ironic that I actually worked at the Mariners during the 80’s while attending NSU. So many amazing memories, I think we have a new tradition now. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the excellent bar service as well. Will definitely be back. Congratulations!"

"My father, and I eat here quite often. We live about 50 minutes from Sam?s, but y?all !! It?s well worth the drive! I?m telling y?all, the prices are so reasonable especially for the amount of food you receive. The service is ALWAYS impeccable, I know theowners of this location by going in there, and they are some of the best people you?ll ever meet! This is my own personalopinion which everyone is entitled too, but I?m telling y?all Sam?s Southern Eatery in Natchitoches ..is where it?s at!!????????"
