"I must admit, I was snobby and skeptical about sushi in Bakersfield and JIN Sushi proved me wrong and I'm better for it! I'll come back and bring more people. If you visit Bakersfield, you need to try JIN Sushi. It is really good sushi, great ambience, friendly service and affordable prices! If you're from Bakersfield, what are you waiting for? You have a phenomenal sushi bar under your nose. I sat at the bar and our server was so knowledgeable and friendly and very efficient. It was also a busy night, but I still felt no gap in service quality. I tried Nigiri and Rolls and they were all amazing. Some of my favorites were the Mackerel Nigiri, the salmon roll and the Baked Scallop Roll. My only regret. 1. I did not record our server on a Blue Fin Tuna special for this day. Life is too short. I'll do it next time. 2. I didn't know there was House Sake (warm or cold) until I had already ordered a bottle. But it would have been nice to try Jin Sushi. 3. My stomach had no more space to try other things on the menu. Next time Jin, next time..."

"I came here for the first time based on a coworkers recommendation. I had to come back a second time because I was craving the spring rolls on a hot day. For both of my visits I ordered takeout. During my first visit I ordered at the restaurant and the second time I ordered ahead for pick up. If you're going to take it to-go, ordering ahead is the way to go. I ordered through the yelp app and was able to schedule the food to be ready by the time I got off of work. They have a spacious dining area with many seating options but sadly I didn't have anyone to join me. So far I've tried the Bahn Mi sandwich, chicken spring rolls, beef spring rolls, crispy rolls, and the noodle beef bowl, and the Vietnamese coffee. Everything I've had has been tasty and generously portioned. You can make a few meals out of these dishes. The chicken spring rolls have been my favorite. The chicken is tender and flavorful. The dipping sauce a combo peanut chili sauce. I liked that it wasn't too thick like some peanut sauces can be. These also hold up well when transporting home. One thing that I would advise again is ordering the crispy rolls to go. By the time I got home they were a bit soggy and the lettuce wraps had wilted so those should be eaten at the restaurant. They were still really delicious and had a great vinegary dipping sauce. I'll definitely be back for more spring rolls. I also noticed they have some Korean options so I'll have to come back to try those too."

"Came here for a few ice creams. What a disappointment! Never coming back again. First off the gentleman at the window kept acting like he couldn’t hear us but would not take out his air pod. Waited about ten minutes in line to get two ice creams that were the wrong flavor and the third he must have filled while we waited on the other car because it was all water. I literally came back and gave him that mess back for a refund. I’m so sick of fast food places. There used to be a really nice competent man who worked here. They need to bring him back the one there today at 1:50 pm doesn’t care."

"Food I ordered was vegetarian since I am a vegetarian. The naan bread was Not cooked well. It was half raw.I asked for Paneer Tikka he showed me Paneer shaslik on the menu.he said thats same.It was not when it came it had gravy a bit was not dry Tandoor baked.Paneer Tikka is Tandoor baked. I started to eat it had Goat meat smell.I called him he tried and siadit has none and tried another bite same. he picked brought me another plate and it was same had Goat Meat smell. Then teh Sweet Plain Lassi had rose Lassi flavor. He gave me a bill for Naan which I had 3 bites and Lassi. I drank lassi which I had not ordedered I ordered Plain Lassi. This was NOT Rose Lassi He had NOT washed the blender in which he had previously made Rose Lassi.I refuse to pay the bill. He threathened to call the Police. I told call the police.He blocked the door and was not letting me go. I told him I would sue himforgiving me Goat meat in Paneer. Then He let me out.This happened same thing in Home delivery food last year had goat flavor and lassi had rose flavor. Panner Shashlik though says Tandoori was cooked at all. It was raw. Plus Paneer Tikka is different it is dry."

"It's a Mexican restaurant, obviously, and their Mexican cuisine is excellent. The food is quite tasty and served piping hot. And, you get plenty of food on your plate! Our server was sufficiently attentive, without being intrusive so to be clear, the service was good. The food was served in a timely manner of 15 20 minutes or so. And we had a party of 13 people. They are well set up to handle larger groups and do take reservations. You should be aware that they do add a 18% tip on all large groups automatically, but I thought that was reasonable. Also, they did separate checks for our group, which some places will not do. You can expect to spend in the area of $16 $20 per meal, depending on your choices. It's a quaint older restaurant with good food and friendly service. It's downtown, so parking can be limited, but we found good street parking within a block of the place. So, if you want good Mexican food, Nuestro will not disappoint."
