Maxwell's Market - Carte

As a Midwesterner, I truly appreciate a great corned beef sandwich, and I can confidently say that this one is the best in Baton Rouge.

This charming local gem is fantastic. The New Orleans roast beef po'boy is always delicious, and they serve the best fries in Baton Rouge.

Phenomenal deli. Hot Pastrami, Marbled Rye, Provalone, Mustard, homemade cookies, Zapps, and a fairly good beer selection. What else need be said? Voir le carte

I had the grilled steak sandwich that was a tad too blackened. Fries were great and made up for it. Both sandwich and fries were large portions so that was a plus also.

I recently placed an order at the Corporate location with Mason, the butcher. I have been pleased with service at Maxwell's previously, but Mason's attention to detail exceeded my expectations. He carefully took my order, double-checking to make sure he got it right. When I picked it up the next day, he had prepared it perfectly, and brought it to the register for me. Thank you so much, Mason!

Very disappointed spent $67 on a 3 pound roast of prime rib for Christmas Eve dinner. I've never had a prime rib so full of fat and strings could hardly cut it. Spoke to someone and showed pictures I Didn't even get an apology. My last expenditure at maxwells. He had the audacity to say if he had cut differently, which I didn't understand, he'd be charging $50 a pound. Honestly oh well, that's the end of Maxwells. I was in the mood for a quality steak for my holiday meal, and a friend suggested this restaurant. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt right at home. Besides a large selection of meats and deli items, they offered a variety of specialty products that tempted me to indulge a bit. I picked out my steak and opted for the crab and brie dip as well. This market pleasantly surprised me and has definitely earned a spot on my return list. I’ll be spreading the word to my friends—and to you too! Definitely give it a try. Oh, and they even had Hubig's Pies at the checkout!

Does not enforce wearing mask by staff nor customers plus they are rude ! Double won't be back which is unfortunate as I've been a Maxwell's customer for many years. However I've been disappointed lately with rude or more often indifferent staff at checkout. It's either hit or miss with the staff being friendly or sitting on the counter barely making eye contact with the attitude that you're interrupting their day. The lack of mask is just the icing on the cake it's irresponsible and makes it clear that the health of customers and staff is not a priority so I'll spend my money elsewhere.

I'm giving this establishment 2 stars not based upon their food but the customer service I received from some old white lady this morning! I've been to this establishment several times but this time wasn't pleasant at all! I don't like prejudice people and she is just that! I called in my order, she explained to me more than one time that it was the Corporate Blvd location. I'm well aware of the location I called. I got there and told her I had an order for a club sandwich. She seemed clueless and was like there is no order. The lady in the kitchen said it's already made; it's on the counter. We proceeded to the counter. I gave her my card. She gave me my receipt and card back then was like... Voir le carte
