The best BBQ spot in Schenectady! Everything is amazing—the pulled pork, brisket, ribs, chicken salad, and mac and cheese are all outstanding. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is top-notch. You can't go wrong here!

This BBQ restaurant is extraordinary! I had the Parmesan chicken, which was served in generous portions alongside fresh vegetables. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the prices are quite reasonable. I recommend arriving early. I hope you enjoy your visit—I'm confident you will!

If you’re in the area you cannot miss this place. I had the burnt ends, sweet potatoes, and Mac and cheese with the white sauce. This has been the best meal that I have had in the area! My husband and I finally managed to make it to The Memphis King for lunch recently and it was some of the best BBQ we've had in the capital region!! Portions are generous and prices are fair. The meat is flavored to perfection and moist as can be! Their staff is welcoming, friendly and more than willing to make recommendations when asked. We will, without a doubt be returning!!

Ordered catering for a Graduation Party. EXCELLENT food, service and delivery. Would highly recommend!! Staff was courteous and helped us choose the right amount of food. We ordered the Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, Mac Salad, Potato Salad, baked beans (WOW-those are loaded and out of this world amazing) and the cornbread. Everyone raved about food. Where there's smoke, the food is fire. Everything I've had here has been excellent. The ribs were meaty, smoky, juicy and tender, with a nice tangy sauce on the side. The brisket tacos with crispy onions and cole slaw were 10/10, and I don't even like cole slaw! I decided to stop by Memphis King on a whim since many restaurants were closed on New Year's Day. I had seen some good reviews, and I'm glad I did! The food was fantastic, especially as a big BBQ fan. The ribs were incredibly tender and practically falling off the bone. The mac and cheese tasted homemade and delicious. The pulled pork sandwich was also excellent. The person who answered the phone was very friendly. I definitely recommend checking this place out—don't skip it if you're in the area! Great food!

Listen, if you are reading this right now and you are on the fence about this place, here’s your sign to go. I haven’t been in about a year because I moved away but I still think of this restaurant WEEKLY. Good luck ever again finding a better BBQ place after trying here, really, good luck, you won’t be able to. They are nice here, the food is beyond good, I’m pretty sure I’ve dreamt about it one time. Seriously, it’s that good. If I win the lottery I’m investing in this place. I want to work here just so I can be paid in the food. Whatever you guys are doing there, you do phenomenally, everyone should try this place.

This place is no-frills, but it offers everything you could want from a dining experience: high-quality food made with care, a welcoming atmosphere, and a genuine appreciation for your business. Top recommendations include the fried chicken sandwich, pulled chicken, and potato salad (how do they make it so good without eggs?). The baked beans were a standout, so much so that we started calling them "insanity beans" due to their deliciousness and generous chunks of meat.
