"Food was good, service was poor- the waiter was not the most attentive and I felt overlooked for my baby face even though we're in our 30's, were well dressed and dont mind spending money on a good experince. Maybe he thought we were going to be cheap because we look so young, which is far from the truth, and still not an excuse for the poor service. We didn't even get drink refills, which I had to get on my own at the bar. The most disappointing part of our visit was the atmosphere. The bar was INCREDIBLY loud and echoed into the restaurant as there is no wall separating them. We were hoping for a quite more romantic spot given the pictures and reviews, but we're extremely disappointed with the overall experience, especially for the price. We would have spent more had we enjoyed ourselves, but as it sits, we would not return."

"I don't understand how this restaurant has a 4.6 rating. The food was tasteless and the portions were small. My chicken was overcooked and full of gristle, which made it hard to eat. Some people at my table were served shrimp with their chicken steak, without being asked if they had any seafood allergies. This is not acceptable. Everything at the table had teriyaki sauce on it, even though I did not ask for it. The waiter ignored my niece when she was trying to get his attention. The only redeeming quality was the sushi, which I would give 2 stars. I will not be returning to this restaurant and I will not recommend it to others."

"We have our favorite “go-to” dishes that we really like, but this time, I tried the salmon special and it wasn’t special. Other guests in our party agreed. I was also disappointed in our server’s demeanor. Not what I’m accustomed to when we come here for a night out. She owned it at the end, but we brought first-timers with us, and they questioned if they’d ever come back. Also, when we saw much better tables for our group, that had no guests at them, (right after we were seated) we were abruptly told we couldn’t move. The entire time we dined, there was a perfect round table available, and it was still available when we left. Not sure of their seating system, but wouldn’t it make sense to give your regular customers the best table available instead of putting them on the outskirts next to a server stand? I should add that we were one of the first tables seated in the evening right after they opened. It was also inferred that if you want a better table, to put it in the reservation request. Noted."

"Let me start with saying the food is FANTASTIC. Truly, I can’t say enough about how great the food was. I tried the special appetizer which was sautéed shishito peppers and the special entree, which was arancini over ragout. It was absolutely delicious and a perfect portion and price. Friend had the bucatini which was also great. Less fantastic was the experience. We came with a reservation and were a bit disappointed that there wasn’t a table for us. We were seated at the counter, which was alright but would have been disappointing if we had been on a first date or were there to celebrate. There’s something about watching food being made that is magical when it’s a full sensory experience. It wasn’t, though. It was just loud, and a bit chaotic. If I’m looking into a kitchen while I’m eating, I want to be able to hear the knives, the sizzles, the splatters, and the plating. That wasn’t the case at all. Also notable, the server had a sorta weird energy and approach. My friend who I was with noticed it, too, and said they felt uncomfortable the whole time. It felt like we weren’t supposed to be there. Maybe we weren’t dressed as nicely as the environment they want to curate? I noticed the two seated next to us at the counter looked a lot like us, so thats what we left feeling; a bit unwelcome."
