"Do you believe in curses? If so you 'll believe this place is cursed and this will be the fourth restaurant to fail in this space. Regretfully, I gave this place a second chance, and like a teen trying to find itself, well, it still hasn 't. G 'Raj Mahal knew what it was and catered to it 's clientele. This place still hasn 't figured it out. Food was ok but way way overpriced for pub standard americanized indian food. Sure, there was grit from unproperly cleaned clams, and frozen seafood can be forgiven given the place was empty which unfortunately leads to zero atmosphere, but what was unexcusable was the waiter forgetting our appetizer Sorry that was my fault with no effort to correct his error. I loved G 'Raj, but alas, I won 't be coming here again."

I tried every Indian restaurant in austin and this one is by far the best of the best. Staff is very nice, the chef has her special touch and well experienced depth of understanding far west cousins makes this restaurant a he best in austin.Vibe is amazing, restaurant looks and feel amazing.

It's a great place if you are hanging out with friends for happy hour or just snack time. The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated, only if I could say the same for the entree. The appetizers were good, the lassi was refreshing. But the entrees all tasted the same, it's the same problem with G Raj Mahal, all their entrees has the same base sauce so tastes the same

This is one of my favorite places food wise. The pork dish is my favorite but the chicken tikka masala is a close second. The service is always a bit off, but nothing that would prevent me from coming back because the dang food is so amazing. I also love that I can always get a reservation last minute. I’ve been looking for that one Indian joint in Austin that makes me feel like folks really care about the quality of their food and boy, I’m glad I walked in to Mumtaz Market. Highly recommend the saag gnocchi, the naan, roasted cauliflower and the deconstructed samosas. I have a sneakily feeling I’m going to be a regular so I can try the rest of the menu. The staff and the owner were friendly, knowledgeable and gracious!

Our food was okay. Extremely overpriced. Our dishes were $20-24, mind you we got the cheapest things on there. Almost 7 bucks for two tiny samosas that were just okay. You can get two huge ones at an actual Indian market where its packed with flavors and it 'll cost you less than 5 bucks. Don 't expect any authentic tasty Indian flavors. Our food was extremely white washed . The place is super cute though, but service was extremely slow. Cool vibe, not so great food.
