Nellie's Cafe - Carte

All was excellent..hostess, waitress, food..very friendly place to go and enjoy good company

Now, called Dorothy's! We highly recommend this Cafe! Only open until 2pm. Kid-friendliness: Staff great with kids!

If you love a quiet room with Little house on the prairie chatter than this is the place for you. I got a bacon cheese burger, and it tasted like Mom made it...A must go if you're in Walnut Grove, MN.

This is an awesome place if your a LHOTP fan...the food is ok..service was ok..had some pics of Nellie in front..don't expect alot of LHOTP stuff....but its all walnut grove has..besides the museum...just ok...

We had breakfast on a week day and it was wonderful very good food and service. They said come back for the Sunday breakfast buffet. We did and it was awful, I've had better food at a cheap hotel free breakfast and not good service it was high school girls that you had to call over to ask for coffee. I was tempted to get it myself.

June 16, 2023. I stopped at “Nellie’s” for lunch while I was on a Laura Ingalls Wilder Road trip. I had never been to Walnut Grove and was excited to see places I had read about as a child. So, having lunch at “Nellie’s Cafe was a bonus. I was very disappointed when I looked at the menu and it said Dorthy’s on it. I thought about getting up and leaving. But I was the only customer. So, I stayed... I suggest the owner changes the name back to “Nellie’s”. If I had known “Nellie’s” was actually called Dorthy's. I would have had my lunch somewhere else.

Ok Cafe on the prairie. The only reason we stopped in was because of the Nellie 's sign. We were looking for the small town hospitality. But again it was OK. Just a heads up, this is a cash only cafe. You have to get cash across the street at the convenience stations ATM.Very disappointed they changed the name to Dorothy 's. Which has nothing to do with Laura Ingalls wilder. Maybe they are wanting something different? Not sure, but the Nellie 's sign is still up. None of us 10 people had any complaints about the food. No one came out to offer refills or to see how everything was. Voir le carte
