"If you're looking for something more than good and out of this world sushi, Blue Island Seafood Restaurant is the place to go. This is the place to find the best asian food in all Blue Island area. Not only do they have sushi that's good and fresh, they have all kids of Asian food, their menu is huge and colorful you will find everything you craving here. The sushi here has gained a reputation as being the best around and i had to come and try it myself and ever since 2 years ago, I've been coming here for every occasion. I have tried every kind of sushi they make is truly some of the best! Every bite always leaves me wanting more, you'll have a hard time stopping yourself from eating every last bite. The make everything in front of you and they have every kind of sushi from classic rolls to special sushi wonders there's something for everyone here. They have strong attention to detail that you can definitely taste, making it clear why this sushi is so good. Whether you're in the mood for something traditional like the california roll or something more indulgent like spicy tuna roll, Blue Island Seafood Restaurant has your sushi fix! If you are coming from Chicago, its just a 25 minute drive. trust me. This is a place you have to come and eat!!"

"What the hell did We pay $62 for? My wife and I ordered via door dash Pulled pork sandwich $14.51) a beef brisket sandwich 16.49) and the appetizer combo $11.87). I understand taxes and the fees for DoorDash. The pulled pork had no Smokey flavor and was masked by the attempt of a BBQ sauce that was slapped on the top of a soggy French roll. The Brisket was so dry that it could have been passed for jerky on a soggy French roll as well. When you’re charging upwards towards $20 for a sandwich why wouldn’t you give fries? The 2 oz cup of bland coleslaw could have stayed at the restaurant. The appetizer combo was a sad sight with 2 mozzarella cheese sticks, 6 mushrooms and 4 onion rings. $12 for this! If you’re going to charge a premium for your food please make sure the quality reflects the value. Thank god I had some pickles in my fridge to enhance the taste of this disaster of a dinner. I will spend my money elsewhere and make sure everyone I know steers clear of here."

"After seeing the episode on Food Network highlighting this place we were able to taste the greatness for ourselves. Parking was easy, seating is plentiful and the a/c was nice and cool. Our server was awesome and walked us through the menu with ease. The Meatball Sub was the best I’ve had, tasty, flavorful, above expectations. We sampled a few dishes,-eggplant with mostaccioli and mozzarella, veal parmigiana sandwich. The next biggest standout was the large thin pizza with sausage, mushrooms, black olives. The Italian sausage was just as tasty as the meatballs in their own way. Overall it’s a great place with awesome food. Prices were good, atmosphere pleasant with lots of TVs showing various sports. "Such a lovely spot ! My mother and I brought my little brother here for his 18th birthday and it was an amazing experience. All the waiters are very diligent and polite. Quick to clear the table to make room for your other dishes. And the food was absolutely delicious. I did the “Make your own” and ordered Angel hair pasta with the Burrata sauce and Italian sausage and I would definitely order it again. The fresh bread they serve with oil and garlic with salt and pepper, to die for. My brother ordered the Lasagna and meatballs….cleared both plates completely. And my mother ordered a pasta with shrimp and garlic and she too loved it. I also had the pleasure in trying their octopus appetizer and that was also very fresh and delicious. Seasoned beautifully. They were kind enough to bring out a tasty strawberry cupcake with a candle for my brother. The restaurant’s decorations and aesthetic is so warm and welcoming. I also got to partake in conversation with one of the owners, such a sweet guy! Hospitality was amazing. GREAT FIRST IMPRESSION. Can’t wait to come back! Would definitely recommend!"
