"My son got married in Pennsylvania while we all live in Cleveland. I rented an Airbnb to use as the venue for the rehearsal dinner, but had no idea what to do about catering. i encountered Old Carolina BBQ at a wedding expo. The bride and groom were enthusiastic about the taste and I loved the reasonable price. We decided to taste test against several other area bbq places and Old Carolina came out on top. I ordered all the food we needed and picked it up on our way out of town to head to the wedding weekend. I was able to get the catering tray set up with sterno to keep stuff warm to be included in my order. It was all so easy! I had rave reviews from all my guests complimenting me and saying it was some of the best bbq they had ever had! Their baked beans are the best! Lots of different types of beans all in the same batch. The mac and cheese is excellent and was the first tray to be empty that night. I should have gotten two trays! The shredded pork and the brisket were awesome, especially the brisket. OMG, sooo good! We also had the mashed potatoes and coleslaw which were very good, but nothing special. All in all an excellent experience and I would very highly recommend them for your next party."

their eating is fantastic, but their customer service skills with customers waiting for food intake are missing. we are all busy, just take them on the fact that the customer is waiting and let them know what's going on.

Still great Barbeque. They were a bit understaffed at lunch today or just haven't had the crowds lately, but it seems like many offi es decided to stop on for lunch today. Always courteous and friendly.I stopped in to see if they had the Brunswick Stew back on the menu. I was craving it for some reason, but unfortunately it isn't back yet, soon. I'm looking forward to checking each week for its return. Guess I'll have to settle for a great sandwich each time until it is back!

Well it’s food, by definition. There were three of us so I was able to sample Brisket, Dark Chicken, Pulled Chicken, Ribs and Chicken Wings. Everything was very, very dry and way over cooked. Glad the drink refills are free. The sides were Beans, Mac and Cheese, Fries, Cole Slaw. The Cole Slaw was ok, everything else tasted and looked like “Three Day Old Leftovers”. Withe tip this adventure cost $75. There are way too many other great choices for that kind of money. Definitely my last visit Voir le carte

My husband and I were big fans of Old Carolina barbecue. Not after today however. We went there today. My husband usually gets the half chicken. Well they know longer have that kind of chicken. They are down to having only pulled chicken. Ok so we both ordered the sliced beef brisket plate. You get 1 side, and a corn muffin for $12. We got it to go and when we got home, we got a shock. 3 little strips of beef brisket in each dinner. 3 strips, 1 side, and a corn muffin for $12 a plate??? We couldn't believe it!! Outrageous! And I asked for green beans and got baked beans, which were lousy!! We will never go vack!!

that was the first time I had eaten here and it was ok. first: this is a carolina bbq place waiting for pepsi products. what is with that? no self-respecting restaurant in the south would ever be caught without cococs products. that was disappointing (we ordered water.) the meat was ok. I had the two meat plate with pulled pork and chipped brisket. the brisket was too salty. the hush puppies were really good. the maisbrot was kind of silly. bean had pulled a pig shell around which she shaved. the greatest who left us both were the sauces. we tried that the senf-based was the only one who was worth it. I don't think we're back.

"Phoenix Express has the best sushi in the area, hands down. It may primarily be a takeout place, but the prep and flavor are a step above. The guy who runs the place worked in a high-end sushi restaurant in NYC, and the quality shows. They even started giving you your order in a bento box, which is a really nice touch and is the only place I’ve seen do that around here. It’s a tad expensive, but the lunch special (3 rolls for $16) is worth it for the quality of food you get. If you’re here just for the sushi, it’s 5 stars, no question. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that a few months ago they installed a huge TV behind the counter that started running 24-hour news any time I’ve picked up my order. So now if you’re in line waiting to pick up your food you have to deal with the horrors of the world while you wait. The TV is faced towards the restaurant and away from the workers, so this ostensibly is for the customers’ benefit. In a world where the news is shoved down your throat on every device and screen you come in contact with to drive engagement, this feels like a bizarre choice and an ambiance killer. Everyone has a smartphone these days, and if you want to catch up on current events while waiting for your food you can easily do that. I doubt I’m the only person who finds this to be a major irritation, which is a shame because the food is incredible. When I see a TV at a sushi restaurant, they usually show something like a fishtank, or foreign music videos, or a street cam, something passive and relaxing. If they switch the TV over to something like that, it would be a huge improvement."
