"You want to like this place but the service was so poor and the food so bad that you can’t. The meze needed salt to taste like anything, no sign of olive oil. The branzino was flabby with not a sign of crispy skin. The vegetables were not even room temperature, but oddly cool and severely overcooked. Ask for more bread and nothing happens. Try to flag down the waiter for another drink—the same. Very disappointing overall. You’d be hard pressed to identify this as Turkish. It could be bad motel dining, but then again that’s probably unfair to motel dining rooms."

Pasha is our top choice when it comes to reliable restaurants. It's the perfect spot for pre-concert or Upper West Side outings. The food is consistently delicious and the atmosphere is always peaceful.

After being away from New York for 2 years, we were thrilled to dine at Pasha again and were pleased to see that not much had changed. While there was a new type of raki available, I still preferred the old favorite, Raki Yeni. I was happy to see that they still offered it on the menu. The appetizers we ordered were just as delicious as we remembered.

The main bright dining room with skylights is a delightful surprise. Decor is simple and restful, dark red cloth walls with a few large mirrors with simple gilt frames. Noise level at pm hushed. Service was pleasant. Flavoring of the stuffed egglant was bland. Special lamb kebabs were good but not distinctive. Lamb braised in tomato tasted rather gamey. Voir le carte

We were excited to try some delicious Turkish cuisine and after reading the great reviews on Yelp, we decided to give Pasha a try. Although the food was excellent, we were disappointed to find that the restaurant was nearly empty with only one other couple dining at 9:45 on a Friday night in NYC. The lack of energy made for an underwhelming dining experience.

We would have loved to love this place, since we love Turkish food and it's close to our home. And the food was plentiful and reasonably well prepared. But there was nothing particularly lively (or, indeed, Turkish) about the flavorings, and the atmosphere was a bit grim. It boasts an old-fashioned formality without the corresponding seriousness of purpose as regards the food.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
