We have been here for lunch and the Gyro sandwiches are very good. Generous serving of meat especially if u order the Super Gyro. My only complain is that the service is quite slow, so do allocate more time for ur lunch break. Highly recommended

The best Greek food in San Diego hands down! I’m from Chicago and have had some of the best gyro joints in the country, this place is right up there with the best. Also the staff is always super nice and welcoming, portion sizes are great and prices are fair. I highly recommend this place.

I have been coming to this restaurant for years. The food is definitely worth the wait, and the owners, Maggie and Tony, are wonderful people. No matter what you order, you have to try the saganaki, a Greek cheese dish that is lit on fire with wine and lemon - it's truly amazing and worth the visit alone! I recently tried a delicious homemade Greek meal to go that was absolutely worth returning for. It was my first time visiting this restaurant, but I will definitely be back. I ordered the Pegasus Combination, which came with generous portions of gyros, chicken souvlaki, moussaka, and hummus, along with the option of rice pilaf or couscous. Having enjoyed Greek cuisine for many years, I must say that this was the most memorable moussaka I have ever had; it was hidden beneath a generous serving of gyros, resembling a small Greek Shepherds Pie. This place is absolutely amazing. My family has been ordering here since I can't even remember when. So I thought it was about time, maybe even a little late, to write a review. The family that runs the Pegasus Café is super great, and of course, the food is too. They always do an excellent job, and I can't remember ever being inconvenienced or dissatisfied when ordering from them. It is always a good experience. My best friend and I brought my mother and sister, who were visiting from Denver, to this restaurant. I have always wanted to dine here. Despite not being allowed to dine indoors, the staff were very accommodating in seating the four of us outside. The older gentleman was attentive, and the nice woman who served us our food was also very friendly. As a vegetarian, I really enjoyed the falafel platter – the falafels were delicious. However, the couscous was not up to par. Additionally, the gentleman recommended a Greek wine that turned out to be unavailable, which was disappointing. After hearing so many rave reviews of Pegasus from my delivery diners, I knew I had to try it, and I am so happy I did! Every dish we ordered was simply wonderful.. We had three starters, two entrees, and the price point is very fair for generous portions. This is not like fast, chain “Greek” fare, this is real, homemade, satisfying food made with care, and so much more complex and delicious. The owners are warm and attentive, there are vegan and vegetarian options, and a great variety of dishes for takeout and delivery. I enthusiastically recommend trying this restaurant!
