"First time back since the pandemic started and honestly, you wouldn’t be able to tell there was ever anything wrong! Firstly, make reservations. We dd and it was a packed house. Table for in the main dining area. Great view of the city once the sun started to set. Staff was very attentive, especially since it was a birthday. The card was a nice touch The meat and cheese board was a great start along with the seafood platter. Not a huge fan of the crab cakes but, the ahi and shrimp were good Prime rib was great. Maybe not the same as Lawry’s or Crowns but, I would definitely recommend. The filets were okay. A little small for being But, was cooked a little too much Overall, the food was good and the service was better. That makes all the difference for me."

"I found this place on a Google search for Mexican restaurant with vegetarian options. The place did not disappoint me. It is Japanese and Mexican fusion cuisine done well. The have a great selection of Margaritas, definitely all should try their Margarita Flight. I had there habanero infused inferno and it was pretty good. The dirty fries are a good starter choice. The atmosphere and vibe of this place is really cool and service excellent. Planning to visit again. Five star fit the food, vibes, service and easy parking."

"I recently visited Izakaya Takasei and had a mixed experience.My boyfriend and I ordered the takoyaki, chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl, several yakitori, takowasabi (raw octopus with wasabi), and the Kobe beef roll. While the takoyaki and yakitori were delicious, the chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl was really bland. The Kobe beef roll was a bit odd with the combination of garlic butter and tataki sauce. Unfortunately, there were also a few items on the menu that were no longer available, which was a bit disappointing. It would be good for the restaurant to update their menu to avoid any confusion or disappointments.While the food at Izakaya Takasei comes out quickly, this can also be a double-edged sword. During my visit, my boyfriend and I received several dishes at once, which meant that a lot of our food was sitting out and getting cold while we were eating the others. It would be great if the kitchen could pace the dishes better to ensure that everything is served at the optimal temperature.The service was a bit lackluster as well. The only time we were able to ask for condiments, utensils, and more water was when the employees brought our food out. No one checked on us throughout our meal, and it would have been nice to have a more attentive staff.On the plus side, the restaurant has nice Japanese decor and is quite spacious. However, there was no background music, which made the ambiance a bit dull.Overall, while there were some drawbacks, Izakaya Takasei may be worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for some Japanese cuisine. Just be sure to join the wait-list on Yelp beforehand and check in with the host when you arrive."

"Oh my goodness!The fish and chips are absolutely amazing!! This puts aliyah on the map for me! Love this place! Great menu selections! Lots of fresh veggies, Greek salads and Greek dinner plates. Their salmon dinner is fabulous."

"Two truths about BBQ. 1 taste is a personal preference. 2. Its expensive. If you go into a BBQ place know this you can't be too disappointed. Service was good; helpful and courteous. Selection was mixed, but the set up of the place is really nice. Indoor, outdoor covered and outdoor. My preference was outdoor and it set the mood for a relaxed meal. Food was good. Not incredible, but good. Brisket was a little dry, so it needed the sauce, and the smoked turkey was the same. Baby back ribs were a little small from usual, but tasty. Smoked pork was very good and the sides went well. We had beans, potato salad and sweet potato fries. Food was split between 3 and 4, but add good service and nice dining area and pushed easily into the 4 range."
