Well, I wish that I could say something nice about the last visit, but I am not sure what that would be. My burger was actually cold in the center, as if frozen just before it hit the flattop. Fries and rings tasted like over-used grease. Please get better. Palestine really needs a wonderful, independent, fast-casual spot with food with reliable quality and a variety of adult beverages.

The atmosphere has an old-town vibe, as it’s housed in a converted cotton gin building, with both indoor and limited outdoor seating. The menu features fried comfort food, including a corned beef Reuben and fish sticks served in a fish-and-chips style. The fried okra is good, and they offer burgers and pork barbecue as well, though the chicken tends to be dry. Don’t expect fine dining with tablecloths and attentive service. This is a laid-back snack bar with paper napkins and basic wine and beer options. If you want a place to relax, look for seating away from the front bar area.

Had dinner with a large group here around 6:00 on 9/25. The staff are amazing here. Great people with such a warm and welcoming vibe. The beer on tap is such a great rotating selection, that anyone is sure to always find something to enjoy. We ordered a slew of appetizers which were all extremely delicious, and my mushroom Swiss burger was decadent and paired well with the coleslaw and scrumptious French fries. If you are in Palestine and want to have a few beers with friends, this is the place to do that for sure.
