"We have stopped at this coffee shop for years whenever passing in or out of Louisville. The baristas are friendly, kind, and make some of the best coffee in the Midwest. The drip coffee is bold, smooth, and hits the spot (especially with a splash of oat milk! The ambience in the coffee shop is wonderful, and it’d be a great place to post up and study or connect with a friend."

"Amazing experience all-around. My girlfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary, got there a bit before our reservation, and received quick service at the bar. Our waiter, Ibrahim, was very knowledgable about the menu and restaurant history. made some great recommendations on sides and sauces. Wagyu steak was the highlight of our night, and it was so good that we had to order a second! The executive chef even came out to meet us and show us a bit of the kitchen. Looking forward to coming back for every anniversary!"

"Now, let's talk about the food. The crab cake appetizer was the best we've ever had! It was mostly pure crab with just enough breadcrumbs on the outside to hold it together, featuring large chunks of crab. Delicious! We had heard repeatedly that Repeal has the best steaks in the city, so we felt we had to try them. Unfortunately, we didn't agree. My filet was overcooked and actually charred on one side, even though I requested it medium well (with a bit of pink). My husband’s steak was undercooked despite him ordering medium well, too. While we could have sent them back, we usually don’t unless something is inedible, so we were just disappointed. The steaks were still edible and good—just not great! The $20 twice-baked potato wasn’t worth the price, even with truffle slices and truffle oil included. The Caesar salad was also underwhelming. The white anchovies were an interesting addition, but they didn’t elevate the salad for us. The bread pudding, however, was fantastic! I highly recommend it. On the downside, the cocktails were below par. I know this may seem like a harsh critique of Repeal, but that’s not my intention! I think we set our expectations too high and were somewhat let down given the prices. With that said, would I go back? Yes! I would just choose very different items from the menu next time and likely opt for wine over cocktails."

"Mes collègues et moi avions réservé à midi et nous nous sommes assis immédiatement. Comme le restaurant birman se trouve dans le coin, nous avons vraiment hâte de vivre cette expérience. Alors que nous n'étions pas pressés, le restaurant était. Des boissons ont été commandées et ils ont demandé instamment d'avoir une commande de repas en même temps. Nous attendons pour commander la nourriture jusqu'à ce que les boissons nous soient apportées. Nous avons commandé le ragoût de bœuf et de chèvre birman ainsi que le Moh Hin Ga (soupe de nouilles de poisson). Les sauces sur les ragoûts de viande étaient bonnes, mais pas spectaculaires! Le ragoût de viande n'était certainement pas tendre. Si vous aimez la viande dure, ces plats sont faits pour vous. De plus, le Moh Hin Ga manquait de goût et selon les mots de mes collègues: "je ne le commanderais plus". Aussi des boissons non alcoolisées et du thé glacé et réapprovisionné gratuitement. Compte tenu de la précipitation et de l'expérience médiocre, je ne reviendrai pas. Compte tenu de leurs excellentes critiques sur Yelp, il semble que de nombreux clients l'apprécient. Peut-être que nous ne leur avons rendu visite que lors d'une mauvaise journée ou que le cuisinier normal n'était pas là ce jour-là ..."
