"This restaurant never fails to impress us! We tried the lunch special King Kong and Empire rolls, but our favorites were the Angus Steak Wrap and the pork Goyoza rolls. Be sure to try these dishes, you won't be disappointed. The house white wine was also a pleasant surprise. Our server, Elfie, was fantastic - attentive, knowledgeable, and quick with our drinks and appetizers. This restaurant is a hidden gem! If you're craving delicious sushi, this is the place to go."

"I was in visiting Spring Valley 9 years ago to revisit my childhood home. On my way out of town I saw the VEGAN sign but unfortunately the restaurant was closed that day. On 4/3/21 I did a revisit with my 96 yo mom. It was a great road trip, but this time the restaurant was open. I took a parking space across Church Street (Ave We went in, and received the most wonderful greeting and some taste tests for mom, who doesn't eat Spicy We ordered and it was excellent. Mom had yams, quinoa, mushroom stew, and Callaloo. I thoroughly loved the mushroom stew, the very spicy chicken jerk, curry chickpeas, red beans and rice and kale mango salad with watercress and we shared a Mac cashew cheese. It won't be long before I return."

"It is unfair to only give this restaurant 5 stars....this is the only place in Rockland that deserves a 60-minute wait. You will not find food of this quality, service, and price anywhere else unless you board a plane and fly internationally. From freshly made Sangria daily (red and white) to the freshest seafood, meat, and vegetables, this restaurant is truly exceptional. I am ashamed to admit that I only went for breakfast for over 10 years and never tried lunch or dinner until tonight. Shame on me! We are already planning to return tomorrow evening. Our meal tonight included delicious dishes such as black bean soup, Little Neck Clams in a green sauce, filleted Branzini, and the ultimate dish - crispy duck. I am almost 50 years old and I can confidently say that this is the best crispy duck I have ever had in my life. I urge you to visit this restaurant not only to support the talented chefs but also for your own enjoyment. Follow Melvin's recommendations and trust his suggestions, as he is truly a wizard in the kitchen at Estrellas. Melvin greeted us with a smile and provided excellent service throughout our meal. "Unfortunately, my dining experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. Upon being seated at a booth for two, which I had not requested, I placed my order and received my coffee. However, I was approached by the owner in a hostile manner, informing me that I should not have been seated at a booth as it could get very busy. Despite there being several empty tables and booths at 2 pm with no crowd waiting, the owner made it clear that he hoped I would not take my time with my meal. He continued to make comments and did not show any consideration for me as a patron, making me feel insignificant and unwanted. Despite my server's apologies, the owner did not relent in his behavior. I quickly finished my meal, expressed my feelings to the owner, who offered a half-hearted apology with excuses. Leaving the restaurant, I couldn't help but wonder if the owner had an issue with single diners, women, or if he was simply unpleasant. Regardless, the mediocre pancakes were not worth the negative experience."

"Delicious, fresh, with impressive variety of styles and flavors! Best dosa I've had since I lived in California and there was a restaurant chain that specialized in them... this is a good place to try this dish if you've never had one before. I must add GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS gluten free options Gluten Free Options to help other Yelpers looking for a restaurant experience that won't sacrifice taste or authenticity for having GF options. My only disappointment, ironically, was the GF naan and only because I ordered the garlic version, and I guess that the way it is prepared, the pieces of garlic cloves are burned in the process (if you like that overpowering burned-garlic taste go for it! . I may have been expecting a garlic butter instead based on other restaurant experiences, so my bad. Next time either plain GF naan or none at all, and I'll be saving room for a dosa! And a FULL BAR with cocktails that use a South Asian spin on the classics. Such a find and easier/faster to get to from NNJ and other parts of Rockland than you might think, plus easy strip-mall parking!"
