"Catskills time capsule bar from the 70’s. Great dive vibes. Juke box (you have to play songs or it’s silent , pool table, Old guy at the end of the bar complaining about city folk: this place is not about the food. They have it, but it’s not the reason to come here. They’ve increased prices like everyone else in the area but the food is no bueno. It will soak up some alcohol though, sothat’s worth something. 5 stars still because of the owners, history, and vibes."

"Marty?s Mercantile is a beautiful cafe tucked away near the Ashokan Reservoir. The staff was warm and inviting. They offer a great selection of breakfast/lunch items, baked goods and of course, coffee. (The cold brew coffee was awesome! The market offers a variety of goods that are sourced from local farms and establishments. If you?re in the area, I?d highly recommend Marty?s!"

"To celebrate Mother's Day, my sister and I took our mom out for brunch at a restaurant. We enjoyed delicious dishes, particularly the Fried Eggplant Caprese and Warm Apple Crisp, which were both very tasty. We sat by a window with a view of the mountains and water, making our dining experience even more enjoyable."

"I'd been familiar with Bread Alone's fresh organic bread for years as it's sold at many stores and farmer's markets in the Catskills and NYC area. Most of their breads are vegan. I recently discovered their cafes (they have 4 altogether) offer some great vegan sandwiches. Their menu has 6 sandwiches total, 3 of which are vegan, and 1 that's veg...not bad! I recommend the Bahn Mi (hold the jalapeno pepper if you don't like super hot) and the Chickpea patty (tastes like hummus). Sandwiches are big with lots of veggies. For dessert don't miss the vegan chocolate pound cake (so rich and delish)! For breakfast they have avo toast and oatmeal."
