"Much of the food was disappointing. For example, I ordered Tofu Stew with Oysters, plus an egg. When it came, the dish was 75% cut up onions... I don 't happen to like onion and that ingredient was not mentioned on the menu... plus a handful of the tiniest (overcooked) oysters I have ever seen, some tofu, and NO egg. Still, the broth was hot and tasty, so I didn 't make a fuss. Turned out other folks had somewhat similar mediocre experiences. The service was sort of dismissive, like how they tried to rush us to leave toward the end. I asked (several times) for hot water rather than whatever passes for tea there, but they kept bringing me cups of tea instead. Finally I did cause a bit of a fuss, and they said We don 't have hot water here . Really?"

Great spot for satisfying your Korean food cravings! Got the stone beef bibimbap which came with extra spicy tofu stew, also split soy garlic wings which were super crispy and flavorful. Their kimchi is also A+!

Authentic Korean restaurant, fresh ingredients and fresh Banchan; always. Kimchi pancake is really good! Came for the kimchi pancake from reading the nytimes article, left this place happy and super full. We will be back!

Wow! I can’t express how much my family and I adore this place! It’s one of the best Korean restaurants we've been to. The bibimbap was fantastic, and the tofu soup was amazing as well! (Just so you know, we are vegetarians.) Voir le carte

Vegan tofu soup was better than expected! I got it spicy but it wasn't really that spicy. Could have gone for extra spicy. The mung bean pancakes were really good too. They remained crispy and not soggy even after cooling down.

I'm really glad this restaurant is in Berkeley. The food is authentically delicious. While it’s a bit on the expensive side, it's definitely worth it. The service is fantastic. Our server was extremely helpful and even took the time to show us how to enjoy the crispy rice.

The bibimbap was bursting with flavor and accompanied by a variety of delightful sides, including an excellent hot tofu soup. It's also quite simple to find vegan and gluten-free options here. The service was great! However, one drawback is that the prices are somewhat steep. At $21 for the bibimbap served in a stone bowl, it feels a bit on the pricey side. Voir le carte

Drove over an hour to go here because I heard they have biji jjigae (ground soybean stew), and it was so worth it! It was flavorful and so hearty a taste I’ve been craving for a while because no Korean restaurant in the Bay Area seems to have it! I was pleasantly surprised to see they even have mung bean pancakes! They were crispy and so good. The restaurant itself is pretty clean and feels spacious. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend!

I drove over an hour to visit this restaurant because I heard they serve Biji-Jjigae (ground soybean stew), and it was absolutely worth it! The dish was flavorful and hearty, something I've been missing, as no Korean restaurant in the Bay Area offers it. I was also pleasantly surprised to find Mung Bean pancakes on the menu—they were crispy and delicious. The restaurant itself is clean and has a spacious feel. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. I definitely recommend this place!
