"I was once in Rome, and the food from Mimmo's kitchen in Laurel, MS is more authentic than any food I had during the trip. Is that even possible? When I was there last time, Mimmo FaceTiming was his mom still living in Italy. He showed them around the new restaurant and spoke Italian (most likely confirm ingredients for a secret family recipe passed on by his great grandmother). This place is an amazing addition to downtown Laurel. It has wonderful food, great wine and attentive service! Give it off and try not to eat too many garlic knots."

"My primary issue is with the breakfast. The biscuits are consistently hard and dry. I expected them to be soft, fluffy, and almost airy, but every morning the top and bottom feel as stiff as a board, even though the middle is cooked perfectly. I'm not sure how that happens, but they might want to lower the heat for the biscuits. Light and airy is the goal, not hard and dry."

"At what appears to be a small unassuming local dinner, locals travelers are welcomed with a smile and hometown charm. Wonderful homemade coleslaw comes out to the table while you wait for your meal. Fried green tomatoes were a special appetizer and they were fried to perfection. The hamburger was large! I could not finish the whole thing! My husband and son ordered the fried catfish plate. The fish was clean and flaky. Hush puppies were delicious, too. I would absolutely recommend checking them out!"

"When it comes to pizza chains, Pizza Hut in Quitman is a familiar landmark on the culinary map. It's the place you go to when the craving for a cheesy slice hits or when the family demands a quick, satisfying dinner.The menu is a parade of Pizza Hut classics, from the Meat Lovers to the Original Stuffed Crust. The wings, pastas, and desserts are also part of the ensemble, offering a variety for every palate. However, the experience can be as mixed as their Supreme Pizza.On one hand, the staff deserves applause. They're often described as nice and manage to keep their cool even when the place is buzzing with activity. Their efforts to get the order right, despite the rush, should not go unnoticed.Yet, the establishment itself seems to be in a bit of a pickle. The building could use some sprucing up, and the Sunday buffet, while an attractive concept, sometimes disappoints with less-than-hot offerings. At $10 per person, one expects every slice to be as warm as the welcome.The pizza? It's the taste of nostalgia. It's what you expect from Pizza Hut: comforting and familiar. "There was a man in front of me who couldn't remember the name of the white macadamia cookie and kept pointing to it, asking Natasha what it was called. She just stared blankly, as if she genuinely couldn’t recall. I stepped in to help by saying it was the macadamia cookie, and she then repeated it as if she'd known the answer all along. It was unclear if she was trying to embarrass the customer or if she genuinely couldn’t think of it and needed prompting. Neither scenario is ideal. When it was my turn at the register, she told me my total and I swiped my card, but she just waited and waited. Finally, she looked at her screen and said, “Oh yeah, our machine is down, so it has to be cash.” I was taken aback because she mumbled this to herself rather than addressing me directly. Additionally, there was no sign indicating the need for cash-only payments. When I asked her to repeat what she said, she had a strange smirk on her face, as if she enjoyed this unusual situation. I suggested that she should post a sign if they were only accepting cash, and she smiled widely, picked up a freshly printed sign, and said, “I just printed it and was about to put it out.” Her attitude was almost childish, as if she were proud to act so immature. If she treats customers this way, I can’t imagine how she interacts with her kind-hearted employees. Fortunately, I had cash on hand. I shudder to think what would have happened if I hadn’t—maybe she would have just cheerfully tossed my sandwich in the trash. After I paid, she shoved my receipt into my bag and walked away, leaving that cash-only sign behind the register while she went to the back to instruct her staff on something. I nearly picked up the sign to put it out for the next unsuspecting customer but thought better of it, not wanting to draw Natasha's attention. An observer mentioned they knew her and described her as scattered and with an attitude, firmly believing she needs a break—clearly, they have a point."
