"We dine at River Ranch as often as possible, and after finishing playing for the show, The Prom, with Truckee Community Theater, my husband and I had the privilege of taking my band members to dinner. It was fun being served by Esa, as always, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My drummer and 2nd keyboardist had not been to River Ranch, so it was totally fun to introduce them to this wonderful experience."

Must go and get stroganoff! : If can get there before sunset and sit next to Truckee River is a bonus. Look forward to our return on next annual boys trip!

Very noisy, hard to hear each other talk across the table. I wish we sat next to each other at the bar. Bar was very busy too. There was a football game on which we also enjoyed. That may of been why it was so noisy or the high ceiling.

The food at this restaurant is excellent and is beautifully presented. The waitstaff is attentive and efficient, with a special mention to Asa. We had an excellent experience as first-time customers with our tallest server. The atmosphere was stunning and really made our evening. The food, including the ribs and risotto we ordered, was good. The wine selection was also impressive. However, we found the prices to be a bit high. Despite this, we plan to return in the future.

Food sucks. Really wanted to like this place, and years ago it used to be so much better. Beautiful location, but we've been here 3 times in the past year really trying to give it a fair shake, and the food has just been lacking in taste/flavor every time, and it's quite expensive. Come by for a drink and the beautiful view, but don't bother ordering food.
