"What a delightful culinary jewel in our community. While I have enjoyed Hickory Hank’s BBQ at various events when catered I never knew until earlier this year that they have out the door real dinner food every Friday night, non catering. And WOW! Literally everything I have tried is delicious. It is very hard to find fresh bbq in our part of Sacramento County and I now look forward to the Friday specials. Last week’s white bean chicken chili was so yummy ! Brisket sandwiches, the potato salad, the cole slaw its just ALL good. I strongly suggest that if you are driving down Elkhorn Blvd ANY Friday night that you STOP and buy your family dinner. You will NOT regret it… just leave some for me ! : I give it a “10”!"

"Love the mom-and-pop shops. Their food is made from the soul not a corporate restaurant, where everything is the same. I will always support a mom and pop shop before a corporate restaurant. Only has two benches out front to eat at but I do see a lot of people grab their food to go. "We ordered the Family dinner A (for 2) at this restaurant. The food was disappointingly soggy. The sweet and sour pork had very few vegetables, with only one piece of pineapple and two thin slices of carrot. The breading was soggy and the sweet and sour sauce was uninteresting. The pork itself lacked flavor. The fried rice was missing eggs and onion. The chicken in the cashew chicken dish was fatty and tasted old. We have enjoyed some dishes here in the past, but this experience was a letdown. It's unclear what went wrong."

"First and foremost if you 're looking for a value mill this is not the place to go! Can you say way overpriced... I mean $11 for 2 small soups and I mean small soups. One was a clam chowder their Friday special and the other was supposed to be chilli For one it had the most gritty texture As if somebody poured sand into it. Kind of curious as to what that could be... To make it even that much better since it was so overpriced the crackers were stale. You 'd figure with them charging such high prices they should be able to afford fresh crackers, no?
