everything that came out of the kitchen looked great. I had the pollo torta and it was excellent. sweet were very fresh, brot was perfectly roasted. this restaurant was recommended by a vegetarian friend, many great vegetarian choices. Voir le carte

Only the service rivals the food! Must do brunch! Extensive menu to satisfy every appetite their chips are addictive! For reference bill came to $85 (with tip) for 2 of us, that includes, chips, appetizer, 2 entrees a side of chorizo, a margarita and a beer. Really cute decor on the wall, a lot of it for sale. Added to one of my new favorite places to eat!

Quintessential Mexican in Ballard. San Francisco native here that moved to Seattle noticed it was harder to get the simplicity of authentic Mexican food here. Most Mexican places in Seattle have a dairy/starch focus that puts me off. This place hits the mark on the earthy flavors vibrant spices I took for granted back in the mission district of SF. The hot orchata has cinnamon tequila, yay! ?

I’m not sure what happened to the quality of the tostadas or the chicken used over the past few months but it seems to have been going downhill. I ordered the chicken tostada meal and the chicken smelled weird and also was very salty.I couldn’t even finish my first bite and had to spit it out! I will try again to contact the store to see what is going on or if recipes have changed but these are not tostadas that I fell in love with this past summer. Voir le carte

el moose is a fantastic Mexican restaurant near the old Ballard area. it is very authentic, has a decent size menu, good variety, good prices and really good tasting eat. although they are open for dinner, they are really known for their big brunch. her personal is very friendly and eating comes here quite quickly. drinks are on the smaller side, but they are quite strong. parking can also be hard in this area. it would be highly recommended to come here if they were not yet.

amazing Mexican brunch! their home made tortilla chips are seriously the best I ever had, esp with their salsas and cloby guacamole right made. they are only thick, salty, crisp pure happiness. loved my mexican egg cube (name escapes me presently) and the warm tortillas it came with made it super, super filling. also their horchata latte was divine, and appreciate that they have milk. I also remember coming here years ago and being blown off by a court with chicken liver and a spirit. I'll have to come back to dinner and see if they still have it. also the room is super colorful and charming and the staff very sweet and helpful ~ very, highly recommended!

I've been here about 10 times and every time has been a pretty good experience. If you're looking for a more authentic taste coupled with a colorful atmosphere, this is your place if you are in Ballard area.Surely you could get the same authenticity with trucks or restaurants, but this place beats then for the vibe and location. Plus, the service is always great.Above all else, this place makes THE BEST HORCHATA LATTES, I dream about them all the time. In fact, I've never seen any other restaurant offering this delicious treat.In summary, if you're looking for a consistently good experience and delicious food without the pretentiousness- visit El Moose.My personal favorite is their Chilequil...
