"I was born and raised in Brainerd, and The Barn was the first place I remember eating with my dad as a boy. The cake, made Rite, all amazing. When I returned after 20 years after I went to college, that was my first station. Brainerd had changed so much, but my dear memories of The Barn didn't change a bit. The diner is small, picturesque, feels like at home. The smell of food was amazing. Take a place, order quickly, not be fussy. This is not a place to change the menu, this place should order what they have and be amazed. The staff was friendly and fast. And the food came out even faster. I ordered two of the rites made with cettes. Then I had an apple cake for dessert. Ready and finished... I couldn't have been happier. Memories, amazing food, simple execution of food and experience. That makes Diners amazing in America. Food for the masses without prestress. That's why The Barn is the perfect diner for me."

"OMG! It 's SOOO GOOD!!!! My husband and I were visiting the area with our boys and stopped in for breakfast. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic!! If you have the opportunity, try the lemon blueberry french toast! It was the special of the day and OMG it was SOOO GOOD!!!! I had to let everyone try it and they couldn 't help but say the same thing! Hands down the best I 've ever had! The service was amazing as well! Our waitress, Ashley, had a full room and managed it with ease. Checked on us frequently, topping off our coffee promptly without us asking. We were all very happy with our experience and can 't wait to come back!!!"

"Was in the area and needed a place to go for breakfast that had vegan options. Note- ask for the separate menu with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free items. I got the Thai peanut wrap with kettle chips. It was the best wrap I ever had. My dad got the veggie skillet and enjoyed it. This place also has a beautiful atmosphere and good music. Will definitely come back for dinner to try the black bean burger. Vegetarian options: Offers more vegetarian than vegan options but still good considering it’s in Brainerd Dietary restrictions: Has Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free options"

"The service at this establishment is beyond second-rate. This is my first experience with service at this level of horrific. No one to greet you at the door or once you find a suitable table for your party. The waitress was less than attentive (And was not in the weeds). We waited 15 minutes for our drinks and a whopping 72 minutes for our food. This experience was able to change all our plans for the evening. Not once did a manger come over to explain why the establishment was unable to have decent service. The food I would say was ok, bar food trying to be better but you can tell it's trying. Whoever owns this place doesn't deserve to have a restaurant, can't speak for the bar experience as I did not sit there. The restaurant business is one of the most difficult to be in but yet so many do it so well or at least passable. But if your business is this of the mark from what it's supposed to provide at a minimum..."
