that was great. the service was great. they had a few nice specialties next to the beautiful menu and it is byob. that's a nice plus.

eating was just excellent. the mushroom soup was great. also the skallops entree was excellent. the decoration is attractive. it's a bit loud inside, but they can still have a conversation over dinner. great place! highly recommended!

Great food and service but there was a heavy wood smoke smell in the air that permeated the dining room (and our clothes). I can only assume there was an unexpected exhaust system failure which the manager should have explained. We will try again but only after calling ahead. I'm too old for Boy Scout camp .

my wife had the Clam Bake and raved about it. She loved the broth so much she asked to take home the leftovers. I had one of the specials, it was excellent. the service was friendly and attentive. the restaurant manager stopped by twice to make sure everything was to our liking. I highly recommend Spence on High!

server informed us that Saturday (1/7/17) was the last night that they would be open for a longer time (reconstruction.) they were from several menu points due to this fact. the appetizer of brie was not very good, had to ask for brot or cracker to put it on. lobster was hard. the blackhouse of my friend looked good. Server informed us that Saturday (1/7/17) was the last night they would be open for a lengthy period of time (remodeling). They were out of several menu items due to this fact. Appetizer of Brie was not very good, had to ask for bread or crackers on which to put it. Lobster was tough. My friend's pork chop looked good though.

Our family has a great tradition at eating out at a favorite local BYOB haunt after church services on Christmas Eve. Our traditional place was surprisingly booked, so we opted for another favorite, Spence on High. It did not disappoint. Food and service were exemplary. Nice but not too fancy, not too noisy and convenient. Highly recommend the short ribs.

Dined on a Tuesday evening and not very busy. Service was excellent and friendly. Our waiters' name was Dan and he did an excellent job. I believe it was the owner who seated us and stopped by the table several times during the evening to see if all was to our liking. Wife had the scallops which were excellent. I had the strip steak special, and enjoyed but would have preferred less sauce. Overall, really nice restaurant, friendly and excellent service, will visit again Voir le carte
