"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."

"D ordered from this restaurant for her birthday party, and we really enjoyed the musubi, so we decided to come here for lunch with Amy and Zach. I ordered a customizable poke bowl with spicy tuna as the main protein, along with a variety of toppings and delicious sauces. We also tried the gyoza and the Hawaiian BBQ short ribs. They serve Pepsi products, so just keep that in mind. We'll definitely be back! - Jake and Kev"

"All right, so the the real reason I knew I had to visit this spot was that I had never seen Keith Lee 's eyes roll up in his head so many times while reviewing a restaurant. This spot is a little spendier per plate than my normal fare, but with such a glowing review, I had to give them a shot. Honestly, we were lucky that we were able to wait an hour for a spot at the bar as walk ins. Reservations are a must now that they 're blowing up, and I will plan better the next time I want some of this simple yet elegant fare. The service was impeccable, from the hostess helping us get on the wait list, to the bartender who was our server explaining the dishes as needed, keeping the food coming, and the waters topped up throughout dinner. The food was INCREDIBLE. We started with a small plate of the charred shrimp and an order of the truffle fries. The shrimp were a 9/10 only because I 'm comparing them in my mind to the truffle fries which were out of this world 12/10. My partner got the Salmon large plate and I got the Duck Confit Gumbo. She is a picky eater, but everything on her plate received her stamp of approval. I 've never eaten Collard Greens that I 've enjoyed, but the way they were prepared and presented with the Duck Gumbo dish was sublime. The whole plate of food was a cohesive journey that I couldn 't put down until it was done. I forget the French term for the dessert we got, but it was like a lemon y pudding that really tied the whole evening together. Final thoughts: This place is a little too spendy to be an every day adventure on my current budget, but the food was so amazing, I know I 'm going to be back. They pre charge an 18% tip, but they probably deserve more, as the service is impeccable. Keep up the great work, y 'all!"

"I met Tasha outside the Southside Burger Bar after a disappointing date, and she graciously treated me to a burger while engaging me in conversation. With 17 years of experience in the food service industry, I can tell that anyone who shows such kindness after hours is truly an outstanding employee. She mentioned that she works at this restaurant, so I felt it was important to share my experience. Tasha is a lovely person, and I have no doubt that she excels as a bartender as well."

"They offer a fantastic selection of both vegetarian and meat options, including eggs, fresh vegetables, and fruits, along with premium drinks, making for a delightful dining experience. Horatio, the owner, is incredibly kind and patient—a genuinely cheerful person. His staff is equally happy and well-organized, even when he's not around. The cleanliness and upkeep of the place are impressive; I never expected to find such a tidy spot in a market stall in Baltimore City! However, it's important to note that the outdoor seating area is not wheelchair accessible due to a 3-4 inch concrete rise, which might be manageable for a confident wheelchair user, but I find it a bit tricky. That said, it's an issue with the building itself, not the business. If you grab your crepes and choose to sit elsewhere, you won't be disappointed with your meal. Don't forget to add a salad to your order—it's fresh and delicious!"
